Hard Rock or Royal Pacific

HI.........

First, LUCKY YOU!!!! I wish I was going back ;)

We stayed at the RP last summer........... and WOW, we just loved it. It is sooooooooooooo beautiful, and they treated us like royalty. If you like "Fiji" then this is the place for you. It is sooo layed back, and you get soooo pampered, ahhhhh just the thought of it!!!

I'm sure hard rock is just as nice............ but I love the islands, so we had to go with the RP, and we will never stay anywhere else!!!!

Have a wonderful trip!!!!

We stayed at HR a few trips ago and the next time we stayed at RP. Every trip back we have gone back to RP. I would not even consider staying at HR again. I think the RP is a much more relax and vacation type atmosphere. My wife has traveled alot and the RP is her favorite hotel. One thing that really turned me off at the HR was the attitude of the workers. They just acted like they were really hot stuff because they were working at the HR. The place just did not come across as a friendly place to stay at. I never got that feeling at the RP from any of the people there. As you can tell I did not care much for my experience at the HR.

We've stayed at RPR and HRH and love both equally. Have had great experiences at both hotels. We have stayed at HRH 5 times and RPR once. We are staying at RPR again in May. RPR is closer to IOA and HRH is closer to USO.

We really enjoy both. I'll answer the question this way, in case there is a nugget of information in there somewhere that can help you...

Things we like better about the Hard Rock:
Proximity to the parks (especially USF.) You can't beat that super short walk, you leave the hotel and suddenly you are there.

The pool area. The underwater music, the way cool water slide, the pool bar set up. It gets the nod over RPR.

The room size, which seems a good bit bigger than RPR.

Things we like better about the Royal Pacific:
The theme. While HRH is definitely cool, we enjoy the South Pacific theme, the marvelous lobby garden atrium and the walk into the front entrance over the bridge.

The view. We've had great luck getting very goo IOA views. It's neat to see everything lit up and so close to your room at night.

We've found the service level at both hotels to be outstanding and it is very tough to leave either one for home. We tend to alternate stays between the two, but RPR gets a few more trips from us (mostly because of the price.)

Hope some of this helps
