Hard Rock Loyalty Program

Saaay...

...does anyone have the full scoop on what loyalty program...or programs the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando is running these days. When they dropped out of Loews, the party line being tossed around at our stay last October was, "We're working on a new program of our own." Haven't heard about anything except velvet sessions since.

I know about the "old style" all access membership bought online or at the restaurant. The hotel benefits were far less set in stone than Loews. I would love to hear any thoughts on this type, especially how well it's done in getting upgrades.

I had heard rumors of, and believe someone posted here about a new program that is a better clone of the Loews deal. It was mentioned that they have flyers at the front desk, but I couldn't find a single solid detail online anywhere. Ten quatloos to anyone with hard data on this. I'm also wondering if they match other membership tiers (if it even exists of course).

I was just curious, since I like that hotel, and I hadn't seen any dedicated discussion about it.

Much time has passed, and I was wondering if they'd done something. I also figure someone has got to be there currently, or will be that way soon, and might be able to dig into it a bit.

Thanks,

Pax

Don't you have to purchase the All Access card? Not much of a loyalty program if you have to pay dues each year.

Awesome!

That's what I was looking for. I was hoping for a tier based structure more like t'other, but it'll do.

As for dues, unless they changed it, I believe the membership fee is a one shot deal. You don't pay every year. I think it's about $25-

Thanks so much for digging up the answer Kevin.

I hereby award you ten quatloos.

It's still a tier based system - believe Kevin's rock royalty status has been conferred on him because of his previous Lowes First level? 'Regular' All Access members do not qualify for this particular package, but still the 'subject to availaility' room upgrade. I have read of different levels of perks - something like Rock VIP & Rock Royalty

.. and yes, All Access is a one off fee

So, if I purchased one a long time ago, it should still be valid? I tried using mine a few years ago at Hard Rock Cafe and they said it had expired. Hmmm. I wish I wouldn't have thrown it out.

damo, you get two cards when you join

the black Hard Rock All Access card and the All Access Hard Rock Cafe card.

one has your points on it and you can redeem them in paying for merch or food at the HRC.

i have $6.68 left on my card that i can still use.

The other is the membership card.
maybe the one they said is not valid did not have any money on it.

of course the program might have changed since i became a member.
maybe they are only doing one card when you sign up now.

Anyone tried this?

No such luck. I purchased it when I first joined the forums here. I am going to have to do a big search to see what I can find. I do still have the pin that came with it. :lmao:

Anyone tried this?

The AAA discount allows up to 35% off rooms depending on dates.

i use that for my discounts as it has been the best rate for me compared to all the others.

it will vary for people on which discount is best on your dates.
you have to play around with them to come out ahead.

I was a Platinum member previously, got this membership via email combined with the all access card, which I didn't pay for. Never heard of the rock VIP level.

Got a half price cabana with the offer also.

kevin harrison's rock loyalty card has no connection to the Loews program.

All Access and the loews program are two different things.

the rock loyalty card is tied in with the HRH and HRC

some people get the rock loyalty one and some don't.

they each are basically the same with one having greater benefits than the other all access program

you will find that the AAA will give you the discounts also, if you don't want to spring for the All Access card or an AP for the parks.

the loews program doesn't have the best perks if you are not at the gold or platinum level. and, it is restricted to ony 2 on site hotels.

Kev - are you saying you didn;t have All Access membership prior to this Rock Royalty membership?

That's interesting - I wonder what criteria were used to decide who got the free All Access membership? I know if a couple of other people who have been given a 'lower' level of free All Access membership - all of whom have stayed previously at HRH -some I know where Gold Loews First, which is why I assumed it was the replacement for You First :confused3

I have a 'paid for' AAC, have stayed at HRH (never used my AAC number for booking) but had no Loews status

Free AAC benefits
Welcome Gift at Check-In
Room Upgrade if available
Early Check-in and Late Check-out where available
Free Access to Fitness Center
Email updates and special offers
First available preferred seating at Hard Rock Cafes
10% off merchandise, food and beverage at Hard Rock Cafes (exc alcohol)
10% off in the online Rock Shop: www.hardrock.com/rockshop

I too was a Loews First member and had hit Gold level. The last time we stayed at the Hard Rock we were given an upgrade to a King suite for $35 more per night, a welcome gift (fruit and bottled water which was great after a day at the parks), and loved it!!!! Imagine my surprise when I tried to book for Dec 30, 2009-Jan 1, 2010 and was told they no longer participate with the Loews First program, they have a loyalty program that is their own. But no one could tell me about it - you find out about it when you check in.

I booked anyway and decided I should be able to find something online about it, right. Nothing.

I tried calling the hotel last night and they said it is the all-access program they've had for years, they just expanded it. They said I would get a card when I check in and would learn about it then. They did say we could get an upgrade if available when we check in but I am guessing that isn't going to happen because of the dates we will be there.

I was just VERY disappointed to not get detailed info on the program prior to getting there - we have stayed at the Hard Rock for all of the nights we had built up with the Loews First program and have enjoyed all of them!

If anyone has detailed information - please share.

We just went the end of August. They gave us the All Access Card for free at checkin, and were able to give us an upgrade from obstructed view to garden view because it was a slow time. The card was also good for 10% off at the hotel and the Hard Rock Cafe, and they gave us a gift of guitar pins for my kids. We were also able to receive late checkout at 1 PM.
This all access card is different from the one you purchase, because you don't accumulate points on it ($20 reward for every $200 spent).

it was listed on the website in june 2008 that hrh was pulling out of the loews program.
all bookings thru mid July 08 were honored for the loews amenities.
if you read the information for the onsite hotels, it is also listed on the hrh section that they do not participate with loews youfirst.

i have had the all access card for the last 4 years.
i have the AA card and the other card for the points.
i am hoping i can still use the money on that card this year.

if not, it won't be an issue.
i buy a lot from hrc at the store and on line store.
the pins are always calling my name to buy them........
