Hard Rock Kitchen - CHaracter meal??

HI - it was mentioned on another thread about a good character meal at the Kitchen - but it kind of got lost in the middle of the thread -so I thought I'd start a new one!!

Any ideas what day of the week this is??

Which characters??

And what is the food like??

any info would be much appreciated!!

Character dining is from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm Sat. evenings at HRH with
Scooby and Shrek. We haven't done the character dining, we missed it by one day when we were there, but The food in The Kitchen was really good when ever we have eaten there.

Wow I didnt know this.....we are checking in about 12:30 on a Saturday (NEXT SATURDAY ) - I might look into this........thanks!!

thanks everyone for their replies (especially Macraven - very helpful as usual!! )

I want to eat dinner at both The Kitchen and somewhere at the Portofino. One of which would be a character meal. So......

What would you recommend?? Which is the best character meal (I assume the characters are similar so I am talking food!!) and which is the best place to eat a non-character meal (bearing in mind we have two small children) - any advice much appreciated!!

we did the magician show at hrh and it was great even for the adults.

the kids got to learn tricks and the food was yummy.

kids got to cook at that one which was many years ago.
not sure how it is set up now but saturdays was the magician night at hrh.
the magician goes to the other hotels on different nights.

i would call the hotel directly and get the characters that will or probably be at the pbh when you are going.

tell them you are doing 2 character dinners at 2 different hotels and do not want to repeat them.

that should help you out on which night and which place you book at.

at pbh non character would be sal's if you enjoy pizza. littles like finger type of foods. adults will like the flavor of it.

it is affordable and very yummy.

what you don't eat, you could box up and take back to your room.
i have been known to eat cold pizza or old pizza..........as long as no flys were on it, i'll eat it.

The food at The Kitchen is quite good; the wait staff and service are also of a very good quality. The problem is the kitchen staff at The Kitchen. They just don't care...

How early do you need to make reservations for the Kitchen for this dinner and can you easily walk to it from the parks?
