Captain Obvious, here
I just heard a "complaint" about the music at Hard Rock Hotel being Rock-n-Roll.
Uhhh...
The "Hard Rock" in Hard Rock Hotel or Hard Rock Cafe means HARD ROCK MUSIC, Duh!!!
If you don't like Rock-n-Roll, then 24 hours of Hard Rock Hotel Mood Music may not be for you. The tunes don't blare throughout loud speakers in the hallways and they are very good with their programming(soft rock in the a.m. increasing intensity throughout the day, although I did find it somewhat repititious over a couple days).
If you are a Rock Fan, then Hard Rock Hotel is like staying in Rock and Roll Heaven. Good Music, Good Food, Good Drinks, Good Rooms, Good Memorabilia, Good EVERYTHING. If you are into easy listening, you may not want to stay at a Rock-n-Roll themed Hotel.

Have Fun

I'll put this as delicately as possible, for me, anyway...

If you choose to stay at a place called Hard Rock Hotel and then complain about what music they play, you are an ......(fill in the blank)...claiming ignorance that you weren't expecting rock to be played just won't wash here.

LOL! You two are so right!

We heard people complaining when we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. We loved the music, and it made it seem like we were at a party every day. The people that were complaining were mostly older couples, and I wondered why they weren't staying at ther Sahara or MGM Grand. The same people also complained about the looks of the people that worked there. The Hard Rock prides itself on hiring individuals. They might have piercings, and tatoos and different colored hair, but again all of this is part of The Hard Rock experience. It really reminded me of my old days hanging out at tThe Whisky in LA. Anywhoo, I agree, if you plan on staying at a place called the Hard Rock, be prepared for the music. It's part of the Hotel's ambience. If you don't like it, stay at Portofino and leave the Hard Rock for the rest of us!

People who complain about the music at the HRH should go down to Disney and stay at the All-Star Music resort. I don't think they play ANY music there! :)

The music is the best part of the Hard Rock experience, especially
the underwater speakers in the pool--awesome!

While I loved staying at the PBH, the constant Neopolitan music
drove me (and my family) absolutely nuts.

Hard Rock Rules!

At one point early on in our stay...my 14 year old complained that the music wasn't "Hard Rock" enough....tee hee hee.

I think they were playing some older song...or something more "pop" sounding...(sorry can't remember) and he joked that we were supposed to be in the HARD ROCK Hotel...(he wasn't REALLY complaining mind you...just making an observation).

So I had to talk to him that there is all sorts of different types of Rock n Roll. I really don't think Backstreet Boys..or N'Sync can be considered Rock n Roll...but they are part of "modern rock"...you know...stuff like that....

I thought the music was TERRIFIC. I thought that they mixed it up to please many people. One of the first things I did when I got in the pool was go under to hear the music.

The atmosphere was just what we had hoped. Those young cool kids made me feel like such a MOM though ;)

I spent hours looking/listening for them
No luck, but reason to go back again.

Quick Question...
Does that complimentary compilation CD that they give the guests change monthly, weekly or whatever? We're going again (some day) and hope there are different songs.

HAVE FUN

I lovethe music at the HRH. The mornings are the best with the oldies but goodies playing. As much as I hate very hard core Hard Rock I don't remember hearing any being played even in the evening. The only thing that had me a little worried was when I heard how outrageous some of the people who work there look. Well no one look any different than what I am use to at the check out at Wal Mart.

Hi, just got back fron HRH last Saturday. I loved the music - Beatles, Kinks, Yes..... all my favourites. Breakfasts were in Rock Heaven!! Obviously, you shouldn't stay at a "Rock&Roll" hotel if you are not interested in music. They also played quite a lot of 80's stuff which was really enjoyable too.
