On the Western cruise, has anyone been to the Hard Rock Cafes in Grand Cayman or Cozumel? Could you tell me how to get to them?
Thanks

we went to the Hard Rock in Cozumel. somewhere in town. can't quite remember. just a word of caution-apparently in mexico they don't flush toilet paper down the toilet. YUCK.

The HRC Cozumel is downtown. We took a cab from the pier and it cost us $6. This one is the smallest HRC in the world, with only 40 tables! We wouldn't eat there but it was cool to visit. We ran into several people on our ship the next day that had eaten in Cozumel and they all had food poisoning, so be careful what you eat!

The HRC Grand Cayman is much easier to get to! You will see it on the right hand side as your tender arrives at the pier. It's a 2-3 minute walk from both south and north terminals.

Word to the wise: be prepared that this is a very expensive HRC! We split an appetizer, with 2 bottled waters and it cost us $30 US! The prices are in listed in CI currency but they will change it to US dollars on your check. A couple behind us flipped out when they got their check, apparently, they ordered a full meal and it was quite shocking! :earseek:

I haven't added my new HRC pics to my site yet, but when I do, I will post a link!

I have to agree. We had lunch and were quite shocked at the price. Food was so-so and we definitely won't eat there when we go back in June.

I have to agree with both the above post. The price is very high and the food is not worth the cost. We were there this past Oct.

NCRedding,

Yes, there were merchandise stores at these Hard Rocks and they were VERY busy too!

I just finished uploading my new HRC pics if you would like to check them out...

Click on Cass World link below and then Personal Stuff and then Hard Rock Cafes for all the HRC's we've visited.

If you just want Cozumel and GC, here is a direct link:

HRC-Grand Cayman...right near the dock...across the street to the right.

HRC-cozumel...walking distance from the port...take a left and keep walking..inbetween all the shops.

oh...by the way...belleandthebeat...the public bathrooms in mexico are cleaner than any you will find in the US.

We ate at the HRC in Cayman and despite the price, had a great time. We thought the food was great and had the local Stingray beer (appropriate after doing Stingray City!). Their shop was great-- I think they had a pirate themed pin, and I got a couple cute shirts.pirate:

Both within walking distance, we had a nice time at GCHR after Stingray City excursion!

Thanks for all the help with directions and for the suggestions about the food. I seem to have a bad habit of just collecting the "city themed" Hard Rock Teeshirts and pins. Looks like I'll need to make a little more room in the closet!

We did HRC in Cayman in November after Stingray City. You can see it from the Tender Pier. We thought the food was typical HRC fare, but it was good. The bathrooms were immaculate! I didn't think they were any more expensive than the NYC HRC. Maybe I'm just used to the high prices...

They had great Stingray T shirts in there with a cool stingray graphic & HRC logo on them for about $15.00. They were the nice thick cotton ones- not the cheap "tourista" type. They had lots of pins in there too. My DD collects them too.
