I was wondering if anyone ever went through Intervals International to book at the Harborside Resort in Atlantis?

Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Harborside at Atlantis is not available as an Interval International Trade - originally it was supposed to be, but because it is newer they weren't getting any availability so DVC decided to discontinue it.

Really!! I thought it was available.....schucks!!

We are dying to go there! Hope it becomes available in the next few years. Kids are too young to enjoy it yet...

I asked when I bought SSR the beginning of April about Harborside because we actually thought about buying there and they said that it had been removed from the trading list. If you can't find a trade on the TUG website, maybe try the Comfort Suites. It would be kind of like having a studio (though no kitchen facilities), but a continental breakfast is included and you get full resort priviledges at Atlantis (a reasonable walk away). In high season it runs 200/nt. but is cheaper other times of year and cheaper than renting at Harborside or at Atlantis. Just a thought.

Harborside was removed due to lack of availabililty. IMO, this was a mitake as there are factors whey it would have been less available the last couple of years and would likely be more available in the future.

You're right. As I understand it, there should be more rooms available in the upcoming year(s) as there is new construction going on, which will increase available units, developer or otherwise.

Not only that but it was a new resort AND it was closed for some 6 months or so due to damage. I'd predict a period of 2-3 years for supply to ease up. It'll never be widely available.

I have a friend who just recently stayed at the Comfort Suites, as kschmidt suggested. She said it was wonderful, having full access to the Atlantis and as Kschmidt said, they saved alot of money.

We were upset to see the Harborside resort at Atlantis was removed from DVC, also. It would have been nice to stay on points, although the Comfort Suites does seem like a reasonable alternative. Maybe some day we will get there.
