Harambe Market or Flame Tree BBQ?

Making our touring plan and am curious..which one would you choose for lunch...Harambe Market or Flame Tree BBQ?? Also, does Harambe Market have any breakfasty options? If it does, we could do both!

I don't know about Harambe Market, but love Flame Tree BBQ. We go there every trip for the ribs & chicken combo.

I am looking forward to trying Harambe Marketplace...or seeing if Flame Tree ends up with any new items when it re-opens. I have always thought Flame Tree's food was a little over-hyped personally.

My family likes Flame Tree, so we generally have lunch there, but I think that unless I see soem terrible reviews we will try Harambe Market. It will be nice to have a new choice in DAK.

You can't go wrong with Flame Tree and the reviews I've read so far on Harambe look good. So that said, why not try both if they interest you? Share a few items rather than having full meals and enjoy 2 uniquely AK dining experiences.

Unfortunately, our schedule won't allow for both. It's a quick trip and with little kids we have to take naps after lunch so we won't be able to make it back for dinner. We could divide and conquer to hit both but we like to stick together.

I have never eaten at Harambe but I would skip Flame Tree. VERY over rated on the dis.

I am stoked to try Harambe. I also concur the Flame Tree is okay but over thought of... and I can get a bbq sandwich at home

Harambe Market is brand new so might be a bit early to get reviews pro or con. I'm sure more reviews will be available on the boards over the next few weeks. I love Flametree BBQ as it is not something I can easily get in the North. But I am also interested in checking out Harambe Market on my next trip. Great to have another choice in AK!

I also enjoy Flame Tree, but I will be trying Harambe market on our next trip as well as getting my favorite from Flame Tree. I am sure Hubs will share with me so that we can try both.

Check the menus. Harambe is pretty limited and will be busier because it's new. Flame Tree has lots of shady outdoor seating and we don't find the food to be overrated at all.

I would choose the one has the best food choices for my group.
