At the Airport, Kids were a little wound up but what could you expect after all the waiting
P1000074.jpg

After me being awake for 2 full days and after driving for 3 hrs in a semi coma to get to chula vista, instead of being able to go to bed and enter a deep sleep, just minutes after checking in at chula vista i had to do pool duty for the kids, after this swim i had one of the best sleeps of my life

on the way to vegas we stopped at the dam dam just because the dam dam was there
P1000272.jpg

vegas was incredible but the experience was ruined a little by all the mexicans trying to hand me flyers for sex workers in front of my wife and kids, 3 days in vegas but really to explore it better you need a fistful of dollars and at least a few weeks

The ship looks awesome! Love the character photos and that cupcake decoration is fantastic!

Another crack-up here.

And I have to ask (only because I'm that kind of twisted whiskers)....was the Vegas experience ruined a little because of the Mexican workers handing you sex flyers or....

was the Vegas experience ruined a little because the Mexican workers handed you sex flyers in front of wife and kids?

OMG!! You weren't kidding about the gun shop. I LOVE the picture of you and the wench. Did the wife take the picture? Ain't Fremont street grand? ::yes::

Love seeing your photos HappyFingers and funny that some are similar to mine! Agree about Biergarten - the atmosphere was good but food disapointing. Our Saana lunch was good too but didn't get a table for 5 by the window so not quite the same. DH could have had much more time at Kennedy Space Center too :rotfl2:

You fitted so much in! We booked Saana based on your recommendation, the view looks great.

Great timing on the 'rapids photo'.

I'm loving your pics and descriptions. I hope you have many more to share.

ON the boat in search of Manatees
P1010355.jpg

we found a mum and her calf, the mother was 1000 kilos and the baby was about 250 kilos which is more than i weigh, finally something that weighs more than me
P1010364.jpg

P1010361.jpg

P1010375.jpg

P1010383.jpg

P1010399.jpg

P1010445.jpg

then we went on the worlds biggest sky swing in kissimee which is a short drive from disneyworld, i did this 3 times and the kids did it twice each, the wife just bluntly refused, this swing is awesome, 300 feet of arrrrrrrrh, when you get to the top you have to pull the rip cord, when all 3 of us went together Brianna had the rip cord because she was on the outside, we got to the top and she was spinning out and point blank refused to pull the rip cord, she wouldnt even hand it to me, she wouldnt even move, just hung there kind of stiff and making aweful screeching noises, so from the middle i had to contort my body and somehow just managed to reach the rip cord and down we went, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, this was awesome, it was $40 for the first swing and $20 thereafter, well worth it.
P1010475.jpg

P1010545.jpg

went to venice beach and had a look at muscle beach, we must have been there at the wrong time of day because there was only some old guy working out, i was hoping for more, lots of druggies at venice beach, some great shops as well, i wanted to buy the t shirt "id tell you to go to hell, but i work there and i dont want to see you all the time" but they didnt have it in my size, i thought that was funny as anything :lmao:
P1010548.jpg

P1010615.jpg

not far from the truth im afraid (guininess book of world records museum)
P1010621.jpg

and thats where the photos stop my friends, because at this point i think we sensed that the holiday was over and the depression started to sink in, it was time to go home, we got to the airport early and then loaded up on the plane for that long 15hr flight back to Australia, of course i didnt sleep a wink, Luke slept almost the entire way back, $60 taxi ride to get home as all our family that would normally pick us up were not available, we got home and found the front yard full of weeds (massive weeds) and the house was in good order with no break ins or anything like that.

we produced 300 kilowatts of solar electricty whilst we were away so thats 300 x 65 cents feed in tarrif that we have probably now used up with all the washing and drying that we have been doing

i have a heap of photos but i think i have just about covered most things that we did in this trip report

thanks everyone for all your help along the way :wizard:

I hope your holidays are are as enjoyable and run as smoothly as ours did

our next mission is to pay off our house so we can enjoy more holidays, more often

cheers :thumbsup2
