I am from Yorkshire, I was born in Leeds and lived there till I was 8, my Dad is a typical yorkshire man :rotfl2:

so Happy Yorkshire Day :banana::yay::yay::banana::thumbsup2

Me too, I'm in Hull, so that's definitely Yorkshire. None of that Humberside rubbish in this household!!!

Glad to hear it, none of that humberside nonsense here.

Ali (somewhere inbetween, Doncaster, Selby and Pontefract)

I'm a Yorkshire lass, I lived in Leeds for 22 years before I got married, did my degree at Leeds and all my family still live there. Seen as I play the cornet I also did the stereotypical Yorkshire thing and played in brass bands for 12 years up there too!!

I like to think of myself as at least half Yorkshire (my parents are both from Barnsley, South Yorks and most of my family still live around those parts), although I was born and raised in Cheshire. They'll both be tickled that it's Yorkshire Day today!! :goodvibes

Happy Yorkshire Day :cool1::cool1:

this has just reminded me of a group/act i saw in Sheffield the other week called the 'evily prgenant brother'...A Yorkshire comedy song act, i thought they were tragicly bad but all the locals loved them.....I just didnt get it!!!

Happy Yorkshire day!!!!

Another product of good Yorkshire stock from South Yorkshire but never heard of Yorkshire day.

Bah gum ah've just phoned mi Dad and he's reet prahd that thee've given him a Yorkshire day (and thanks to this thread I've just endured a rousing performance of 'on ilkley moor' give me strength)

anyway Happy Yorkshire day to you all!!!!

I read the title of this thread and, because it's Sunday, I thought it referred to the puddings not the place.:rotfl:

Happy Yorkshire Day! From a Midlander.:)

Almost too late but Happy Yorkshire Day everyone.
Glad to see many Yorkshire men proud to be wearing a white rose at the rugby today. I did buy 60 white roses in but being the typical Yorkshireman I put profit before history and sold them all so didn't get to wear one myself.:goodvibes
