busy weekend here driving kids from one place to the other, while I try to get some errands done. Taking a lunch break now and checking in on the boards.
Hi Nikki, you have a good weekend too. Nothing special here, but looking forward to picking Yehaa Bob up tomorrow at the airport and taking him to dinner.
Had book club with my mommy friends last night (we spend about 25% of our time on the book). We killed off four bottles of wine - this morning was not pretty! And neither was I. Still managed a productive day of swim and dance classes for the peanuts, grocery shopping, making dinner, and some advance cooking for dinners this week. Now I'm ready to collapse on the couch and play DVR catch-up...
We (okay...mostly NC Beast) are working on new raised garden bed. We got our 4.5 cubic yards of 30/70 dirt blend (need to buy mulch soon) this morning at 8am. The neighbors were supposely watching as the nursery guy dump the load by the garden patch (I was inside half-sleep). We had to do 2 hardware stores for and need to go back next 2 weeks to try to finish up the prep. We are trying to figure out how to fence the raised bed without breaking the bank.
Right now, NC Beast is working on the raised bed with a head lamp on (plus it has been raining most of the evening). I'm watching the NASCAR race and public tv.
Update-- after an hour of being outside in the rain with spot lights on...NC Beast decided that Mother Nature is telling him to stop for the night (plus we are almost out of landscaping fabric).
So my DD16 got a call back for her audition today, so that messes up my Sunday now. Dance, call back, some where I have to fit in shopping for food for lunches this week and I am suppose to have some me time and scapbook with friends. Is it Monday yet when 3 of my kids are back in school?
Last night was spent in the hospital meeting my new niece. This morning I had a 5K and then went to eat with some friends and their kids and then I had an evening funeral mass for one of my friend's mom. The full circle of life in the matter of 24 hours.
Tomorrow the family is all going to my brother's to have brunch and welcome the new baby home. I'll also get to play a little with my nephew which is always a plus.
Yes they are growing so quickly. I am sad they moved away. I won't get to see them very often. I loved taking them to the parks. Everytime I go now it reminds me of them.
