Last year we were at wlv, and took the kids to chef mickeys for dinner on valentines day, i wish i was there right now...........

but since im not there, we plan on taking the kids to the movies to see the miracle and then out to eat for dinner, or dfil is downtown at a convention and wanted us to bring the kids and go swimming at the hotel and then go out to eat....hmmmmm

i'll wait to see what dh wants to do, so whats your plans:sunny:

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's not a big holiday at our house. We usually do something little...a little candy gift for the kids at breakfast or something. DH usually gets me flowers, but I told him not to this year. We just bought a giant 57 inch big screen TV...and we're finishing our basement...those are awfully big Valentine's presents!

The most exciting news of the day is that DD9 and her team just won their first basketball tournament game this morning! They did it *without*the coach's daughter (who is easily the best person on the team). It was all defense and quite a nail biter! We're so proud of them. They play again next Saturday, and if they win they play for the championship on Sunday.

Oh! On this day last year we were driving down to WDW to stay at FW for a long weekend. Wish we were there right now!

I am just about to make the excuse (lie) that I have to go to the dry cleaners, so I can actually pick up the wife's flowers, balloon, and candy.
Ya, pretty standard, boring stuff, but it works! ;)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. DH is actually due home from Canada(business trip) in about an hour or so. My ds (11) and I can't wait to see him. He's only been gone since Monday, but we still missed him so. As far as celebrating Val.Day, I am cooking a special shrimp dinner for us that DH loves and maybe DS, DH and I will try to find a movie we all like and watch that. It would be nice to say we were celebrating at WDW, though. Oh well, maybe some day. Have a great day everyone!!
:D :D :D

Unfortunately my DW is on a business trip. So I'll be celebrating by shampooing the carpets:rolleyes: . We're looking forward to her business trip in May, which will be at the GF! I'll forgive her boss for making her work on Valentine's Day as long as I get that free stay at the most expensive resort on property.;)

We're going to see The Haunted Mansion at the second run movie theater later today! We exchanged cards and gifts first thing this morning. I was VERY surprised that DH remembered. For sure, he's a keeper.

Have a good Valentine's day.

Bobbi

kweaver, I wish your DD's team, continued success!:wave2:
