Happy, unlikely waitlist was filled!

About 2 weeks ago, I decided to find out if two friends would like to join me in Disney for 2 nights in December. I’ll be there with DH for 8 nights, and I would extend my stay, and he would go home. Friends accepted, and I put in a waitlist for 2 nights in a standard 1 bedroom at BWV. I only had 47 BWV points in 2019 to borrow to book the reservation, and pool/Boardwalk points for reservation would be 56 points. TOMORROW is the 7 month day, and I figured I would borrow other points and book the more expensive villa.

I went on RAT tonight to be sure the pool or Boardwalk View was still available, they are, then I checked my dashboard and my waitlist was gone!

Just to be sure, I called, and YES. I saved 16 points!!

So, there is movement, even in December, even in the resort home priority time, even for standard view. Yes, it was only 2 nights, but it was something I did not think I would get within 2 weeks.

That's awesome news! I 100% understand - we prefer the standard BWV rooms to save on points.

I am trying boardwalk view for first time in September. Had to book Garden/Pool view at 7 month mark, but waitlisted BW view since same number of points. Was excited it came through last week. Originally wanted std view (not all nights were available), but once I committed those points I figured I would stick with it

I just got a waitlist using holding points for Hilton Head for July 1st! I was only on the list for a week - never expected it this early.

I too had an unlikely waitlist come through today! 3 nights in a one bedroom standard view at the VGF over Thanksgiving before our cruise! It’s for me and DH’s 25th anniversary and I never believed for one minute it would come through. I am smiling ear to ear right now. Yes I do believe in the power of the wait list! I do believe!

Congrats on the waitlist coming through! I'm hoping some good luck for an unlikely waitlist rubs off on me. I waitlisted for a standard or pool view BWV Oct 25-27. I did it the minute I could at the 7 month mark, but know that a Thursday and Friday night during F&W are unlikely. Thankfully I love AKV, so I won't be too bummed if it doesn't happen.

Your good luck finally rubbed off! I got the email a couple days ago that my BWV pool/garden view came through for Oct 25-27!!! I am beyond excited to finally check out JellyRolls - I have always been too tired/lazy to try to get over to the Boardwalk on past trips (or I had the kids with me, the little buzzkills ). No excuse this time, I will finally get there!

An especially nice thing is that my DGF who is coming lives in Ohio, but is a snowbird. This December trip is one time that works for us to get together!
