Hi Everyone-

Well, one month into DVC and we already had addon-itus (sp?) We only have 100 points now and find that we want to move into the 1 bedroom range so we have an easier time switching at 7 months. We don't take out loans so we want to buy in 100 point chunks as we can. When does it stop? When did you finally not want to add on anymore and had something you were totally happy with? Never?

I bought a long time ago, and added points on 25 at a time cash until I thought I was done.
I could send my parents to HHI and do a trip to Epcot when I wanted.
Then my brother and sister both had kids. Being the nice brother/uncle I added on so every other year one could go to Disney.
Then I get married and my wife like the beach so more points
Now I have 2 small ones and it looks like another addon.

I thought OKW would be fine forever, but now I'm looking at VB and AKV for the 11 month window at those resorts.

I suggest that you start slow and feel the product out first. Buy enough points to stay at all of the DVC resorts over time, maybe split stays. That will allow you to really find out which resorts you want as a home resort. It will also give you a chance to experience the DVC pluses and minuses before you spend a lot of money.

It Doesnt We approach it the same way as you, we buy when we have the cash to pay.....We just added on again this past weekend, that now makes 10 contracts and 600 points for us.

We are like you . . .bought 100 points direct; then added on 100 points through resale. This was working ok for us . . . BUT THEN. . . This year we decided to take friends for Thanksgiving, which requires 1.25 years worth of points . . . Then we decided to go ahead at get AP's and go three times over the next year. We have now no points left for this year and next year and I even had to buy 24 points direct from Disney. NOW, we really need to add on!!!!!!!
