Hope you all had a great Christmas & New Year. We got back yesterday and I have been washing & ironing ever since
We had a really great time. I have taken loads of photo's so hopefully the trippie will be colourful.
Highs
The weather (bit contrary this one as it also appears on my lows) - much hotter than when we were there at the same time last year
Crowds - (again also appears in my lows) up until Christmas weekend the parks were pretty much deserted with rides being walk on - fabulous
Expedition Everest - Loved it and I'm not much of a coaster fan
Nemo the Musical at AK - a bit overly slushy but fabulous costumes
Christmas Dinner at le Cellier and NYE Dinner at CP - Both fantastic
Lows
The rain - on the whole it was very hot & dry but when it rained it really RAINED and unfortunately this was on Christmas Eve (we were at MGM and Fantasmic and the Osborne lights both washed out due to weather) and Christmas Day (we were at Epcot and it was torrential from lunchtime onwards pretty much for the rest of the day)
Crowds - From Christmas to New Year - It was horrible we were pushed shoved and generally herded like cattle everywhere. Some people are incredibly selfish and rude they will pretty much knock you right over to get an inch closer to something (I have the bruises to prove it) Don't think we will bother going there at that time of year again
Bad Parents - why do some parents just let their kids run riot - on our fight over the family behind us had a lap sitting toddler who kicked the back of our seats bounced & jumped for most of a 9 hour flight. I bit my tongue until he reached over the seat and pulled out a chunk of my DD's hair and made her eyes water. And why do others insist on taking their little ones onto unsuitable dark, noisy, potentially scary things so they end up screaming or crying and ruining it for everyone else. I love kids (I have two of my own albeit older now) and really enjoy watching the little ones enjoying themselves in the parks but it spoils everyones enjoyment when they get scared or upset and cry so loud nobody can hear. We had several instances of this mostly in the latter part of the holiday when parks were busy so I suppose they didn't want to have to queue twice so each parent could see things) apart from anything else it's very cruel to upset the children like that
Anyway will start work on my trippie and DH to book our next one very soon
