Happy New Year! Any Disney Resolutions?

My resolution as it pertains to Disney: Lose some weight so I don't get too soaked on Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and It's a Small World. Because all water rides are wet rides when you are pushing 250!

At this rate, I would be happy to have a Deluxe...but happier to have another Premium!!;)

Try to talk the wife into going to DL for Christmas in 2010 instead of WDW. We haven't been back for several years to WDW and she thinks it might be more romantic to stay at the Grand Floridian. Our 20th Anniversary is in November.

Well now that it's 2010, here's mine:

Go to DL for the F&W festival
See the holidays at DL
Stay at CCI again
Go with Kenny to stay at the Poly/cruise
Oh and see the Lion King at LV.

I made a resolution to DH, but it's a little different than most. I have got to try and break the Disney habit. We live in NC so it's not like I go habitually, but everytime trip planning discussions start I can't help myself I just want to go back to Disney. And DS and DH are just OK with Disney, not fanatics like myself.

I know intellectually that there are other places in the world I want to see, I think Disney has some kind of crazy, emotional manipulation, mind control scheme that they use to lure people like me in (kids at heart I mean):).

After my Jan trip I'm not planning another one for some time, I'm thinking Nov 2011 to WDW to also see Harry Potter world. That's a long break right?;)

Absolutely!! Our resolution is to make sure we see all of the Disney Parks around the world within the next 5 years!! So far we have done Disneyworld, Disneyland Paris and we are off to Disneyland California in May 2010!!

We want to do Tokyo, Hong Kong and a Disney Cruise!!! lol

Happy Disney New Year Everyone!

Ebtbmom, I totally understand what you mean. As you said, intellectually I know that there are lots of other places I want to visit besides DLR. Some of them I have been to before, but not in ages (Las Vegas), and some are places I have never been but would like to visit (New York, Italy, Greece, etc.). Still, the call of DLR is too strong.:rotfl2: I think they pump something into the air to cast that Disney spell on us once we step past the turnstiles!!:rotfl2:

Happy happy New Year to all my wonderful friends on the DISboards! This has been another wonderful year filled with amazing information and photos and overall love for our favorite place! Let's make 2010 a year filled with adventure, excitement, culture, joy, success, peace, good health, friends & family and new experiences...and always let the ones you love know how much you cherish them!

Now...does anyone have any 'Disney resolutions' for the new year? Yes, yes, many of us have the typical ones - lose weight, stop smoking, save money, start a family, repair a rift with an old friend - whatever it may be. Those are the 'real life' resolutions. But does anyone have anything in particular that they want to accomplish when it comes to Disney/DLR/WDW, etc.? For example, I want to make a point of trying a new character meal in 2010. (Oh, don't get excited - Goofy's is still #1 to me - in fact, this last meal I had there even surpassed my previous meals there! It was great!:rotfl2:), but I want to visit Minnie & Friends or the Surf's Up with Mickey meal in 2010. I also want to search out more Christmas trees hiding around DLR and take more photos. I want to try to stay at the GCH once again.

What about you? Any 'Disney resolutions'?

Happy New Year! I'm a little late to this thread, but at least I made it. My Disney resolution for this year is to try to make it back at least once this year and hopefully get a new AP. Also, I want to time it right so that I can better take advantage of the Summer and Holidays time. My AP officially expires today and DH and DS's expires tomorrow. Anyway, we're in the middle of renovating our house (not fun during the holiday season  ) so we're just not sure when we're going to make it back, but certainly not in the near future. We really enjoyed it during June Gloom, but perhaps a little later in the summer (if at all) like July or August to allow us to take advantage of the summer peak shows, etc., and if we get APs out of it then we can go again in December or early January and next year a little earlier in the summer. :thumbsup2 That's the hope/plan anyway!:cool1: :lmao: As far as regular resolutions go, I want to take a couple of classes, invest in some more real estate, lose about 25 pounds and take better care of myself for my health. That's not asking too much is it? ;)
