Happy Moments while waiting

Okay, I know that everyone here has experienced ,at least one time, a very large line. What did you do to pass the time? Did you do something silly? Did something happen? Tell us what you did!!!

you know, come to think of it...we've really never done anything in line except visit.

I always tell my kids...the more patience you have...the more fun you'll have!

DBF and I always play the Disney Alphabet game.. Name a character with each letter of the alphabet.. A, Alice. B, Baloo. C, Cinderella.. etc.

That usually keeps us busy.. If not we just talk about random stuff..

We usually talk about the rides we are going to ride next and all the excitement we are going to have. Our parents just love to see us happy and not fighting woth eachother! lol We're sisters: 18 and 13.

Well, since FP I am very spoiled and rarely wait more than 20 minutes for anything. But I do bring a small roller-massager so we can do each other's backs while we're waiting.

I have two small children and they LOVE to play I Spy. This can keep them occupied for quite some time.

I brought a small container of bubbles the last time I went and amused myself by blowing bubbles and popping them. It was also fun to blow bubbles whenever I was above other people (like on the bridge over the POTC entrance) and surprise the people down below.

While in line for Peter Pan, we were on a roll of Puns.
It kind of went like this...

"if we cut in line, there would be Peter Pan-damonium"
"to work at this attraction you have to wear Peter Pan-ts"
"If there was a Disneyland in China this ride would be called Peter Pan-da"
"I heard Peter was in the hospital for surgery, he had Peter Pan-creantitus"


OMGosh we were on a roll for about 20 minutes, I cannot even remember all that we thought of...
the guests around us must have thought we were NUTS with our strange sense of humor & laughing at ourselves trying to top the last pun.
It was quite fun.

I am very social so I usually find someone else who is in the line up waiting as well to talk to about their trip.

Kids - hand held games like Nintendo DS Lite, it keeps them very busy.

Me - I'm checking the plans so we know where to head to next.

Dh - Makes silly jokes, tells us trivia usually not related to the ride or even Disney. Checks on where we are going next.

I hate waiting in line, so I just bypass the ride if the wait is too long. Otherwise I'm usually fiddling with my camera and finding things to take pictures of and that helps to pass the time.
ETA: One time I did wait in Indy for about 1 hour when my FP return time was 10:30 PM. Believe it or not, I had a few phone calls so that's what I did until I got inside the building. That and fiddle with my camera. I'm spoiled by FP too.

sometimes we use long lines as a time to eat so we dont have to sit down to do it!

My mom does that also. It's so embarising!I' at that impossible age( moms say that).( almost 13)- everything my mom does embarrases me so much!

Those were great! If it were our silly bunch we would probably be making up songs. Maybe we better not! If they were to hear us singing they might just have to kick us out of the park for the sake of the other guests!

We talk or we play cards (we have a small deck of Tink cards) I don't usually play, I hold the cards while the rest of the group plays Go Fish. The kids usually have their Game Boys but rarely do they pull them out. We people watch, we talk about what the dogs are doing at home and what we will be doing later in the day.
