Happy Limo Question

I just booked our ground transportation for 5 adults + 1 teenager with Happy Limo. We are going from MCO to Port Canaveral to WDW and back to MCO. We have used Tiffany Towncar in the past going back & forth to WDW and have been happy with them, but with our travel agent recommending Happy Limo and some of the negative comments with Tiffany, I wanted to be sure we didn't run into any problems. I thought the prices were comparable, but now I find out they are adding $54.00 to the prices quoted on-line for service charges, not including the gratuity. I realize gas prices are higher these days and their website has notes at the bottom of the rate sheet stating that the quoted price is a base rate - but does this seem reasonable? It seems kind of sneaky. Should I cancel and rebook with Tiffany? Or should I stick with the reservation I made?

I would check with Tiffany and compare the prices. Online the say $90 oneway from the airport or $105 from the resorts,Thats for a 4 person car.

FL TOURS which is a DISboard sponser charges $290.00 for a three-leg trip for 5-7 passangers. This is for a passanger van.
And this is directly from their website....We have no hidden fees!!

I am sure tip would be extra but maybe someone else can tell if they include their drivers tips or not. Hope this helps.

I would shy away from Happy Limo--I have a major problem with being charged for the gratuity up front, and from the way you're describing their pricing something does sound a little shady. Also, they've always been more expensive than their competitors when I've checked rates.

We've had very reliable service from Tiffany, but our drivers haven't been very friendly or pleasant. But as long as their price is best, I can tolerate it. I hire them to drive me to the resort, not to be cheerful or entertaining.

For our cruise last year we used Southern Elegance Limousine and we were very pleased with them. Their driver was prompt, very polite and courteous, and we had great service and a good price. It may be worth calling them for a quote.

I used Happy Limo in November 2004. I would not use them again. Surly driver, rushed grocery stop. seatbelts that had been sliced off (didn't tell me that as I was struggling with 2 car seats), just generally a lousy way to start and end a magical vacation. I'd like to try a limo service again for our upcoming Wonder cruise in Feb - but I think I'll stick with rental car and ME.

Thanks to your comments, I'm going to trust my instincts and cancel the reservation before it's too late. I had never read unfavorable comments about Happy Limo until now. The other thing that bothered me was in the fine print it states that if you are over 10 minutes late on the day of departure, they charge you $1.00 per minute extra for waiting. We try very hard to be on time for the departure but when you get getting off a cruise ship or leaving from WDW, everything is not under your own control, if you know what I mean. Anyway, thanks again, everyone for helping me decide!
