Happy Limo, I got a bad feeling about this.

Usually when I get a bad feeling about something, it rings true. I hope this time I am wrong. I read all the awesome reviews about Happy Limo on this site and on other sites.

I called there this morning and spoke with Diane. She gave me a bit of the "Hobo Brush," answering my questions before I finished them. She then cut me off and asked if she could call me back. I agreed.

Diane called me back several hours later to complete my reservation. I wanted a Lincoln town car from the Poly to the port. She said, "Lincoln town car?" Yes, the one on your website. She said, "oh, oh a yeah, yes."

She asked what time I wanted to be picked up. I said our PAT was 10:30, and asked what time she recommended. She said they would pick us up at 11:00. 11:00?; I asked. That is after my PAT. Oh, she replied. What time would you like to be picked up? I said 9:00, that would give us time for our complimentary stop at Publix.

She then took my credit card number and email address. I asked if I would receive an email confirmation. She said yes, there is plenty of time for that. She then read back my pick up date, which was two months after my actual pick up date. I gave her the date again, and she again replied "oh, oh yeah, and repeated the correct date.

I will call after I receive the email to confirm all of the details. I can't help but think this is not going to go off as plan. I have my fingers crossed that it was just a busy day for them or perhaps just under staffed.

Please tell me I am wrong and it will turn out for the best.

Personally, I would call back and say "could you please go over my order with me" and let them read back to you the times, dates and type of car requested.

With regards to the Town Car...most of the limo companies in San Diego are switching to BMW 7 series and away from town cars, so (hopefully) maybe that is why she was confused?

I will definitely call back.

I've never used them, but I know lots recommend. I would not give my business to someone if that had been my first experience with them.

I have used them once and everything went perfectly. I booked online and never talked to them on the phone. I did get an email confirmation though, and another receipt for payment via email about 2 weeks before our reservation. I would just call back and say that you want to confirm, and make sure that you get an email confirmation so that you have something in writing.

I recently called to add the return pickup to our trip. I got a confirmation email within 5 minutes of getting off the phone. If you don't have yours, I would definitely call to reconfirm things.

Go with your gut.

We used them for our first cruise. I had a bad feeling when I got off the phone with them. Sure enough, they messed up our reservation. I called and got it corrected. Then, they forgot to pick us up at the port to go back to MCO. We called 3 times, and finally saw someone that worked for them that had just dropped off cruisers. We got him to take us to the airport. He didn't want to at first, but finally did.

We will never use them again. We use DCL transport now. ($35 per person per trip)

I used Tiffany in November, they were great. We hadn't scheduled a grocery stop, but my roommate found she was lower on cash than she wanted to be and the very nice driver stopped at a store with an atm. Smooth pick up as well.

If my initial experience was that I definitely would not have gone through with booking them. I highly recommend FL Tours, we used them in August and are going to use them again in March!

Just looked it up; 2011 was the last model year for the Lincoln Town Car. So I agree that that might be why she's confused.

OP, how many are in your party? Could they have been wondering if you needed a minivan instead?

We used them last February and had no problems at all. The limo arrived on time at the resort and the driver did not even seem annoyed with all the baggage he had to load and unload into the limo (there were 4 of us and we had ALOT of luggage). I have them booked to take us from the resort to the port again in 5 weeks and I don't anticipate any problems this time based on our previous use of their services.

Thank you all for the reassurances and advice. I will give them a follow up call this morning.

We used them for our return trip from the port to AKL last April. All in all it went pretty well the driver was about 15 minutes late but that is perfectly acceptable to me, much more than that I would have started to have been annoyed.

We used them this summer and were not happy at all with them. We had our travel agent book it and she verified a few times with them that we wanted to have a grocery stop along the way since we really wanted to grab a few things. We showed up a few minutes early for our pick up time to the driver telling us he had tried to call us because he wanted to leave early. He had a pick up at the port and the people who had just gotten off a cruise wanted to be picked up earlier. We said even if we had talked to him we would have not been ready. He was annoyed. Then he proceeded to hurry us up into the car and start speeding to the port.

We asked about our 'guaranteed' stop at the grocery and he proceeded to tell us there was no time to stop since the other people decided that morning they wanted to be picked up earlier. We told him we had been promised that and set it up and he just said they only stop if there is time. He also kept speeding and complaining that he wished he could have gotten ahold of us so we could have left earlier. Then we ended up at the port way too early since we had allowed time for the grocery stop. Needless to say we were not happy. We did let it go and had a fantastic cruise though!!

Our travel agent did contact them and they could have cared less. They told her they do not have to stop if there is not enough time. Whatever. She had used them a lot and now she does not.

It's up to you what you do but I will not use them again. Good luck!

OP: r u SURE that you didn't get some "bogus" number off a rerouted site? That is, that you actually talked to happy limo and not someone pretending to b happy limo....u know, like when a web site is rerouted to a bogus site? I obviously don't know what I'm talking about, but it seems that your experience is so far outside the "norm" that it is worth pondering....can you check rezzies on their website, assuming you have a confirmation #?

We just used them for our vacation. We needed transport from MCO to Universal, and then again from Universal to the port. My advice is to go over your confirmation email with a fine toothed comb, once you get it. On ours, they messed up the part about Universal to the port, instead they had us going Universal back to the airport (even though they charged us for a trip to the port). I called straight away and they changed it and sent a new email confirmation. After that it was smooth sailing, the service was on-time, professional and courteous. I get the impression they are just a little frazzled on the booking end.

I would like to add a very positive thing about them. On our trip to Universal, my youngest son was playing on a brand-spanking-new iPad. I had no idea he'd taken it out in the van. We get to our hotel, I'm going through their backpacks, and you guessed it, no iPad. Of course I flipped. He couldn't even say for sure that he'd left it in the van. I thought for sure that we'd seen the last of it, but I called Happy Limo and they said that yes, our driver, Manny, had turned it in right away and they had it at the office. They sent it along with the driver on the second leg of our trip. We made sure that Manny got a nice additional tip!

We used them, and overall was fine with them. I specifically asked for the courtesy stop and when he picked us up said we hadn't requested it so no stop. Live and learn....double check the confirmation, call and question anything out of the ordinary.

RedM94....I can't wait to hear about the follow up call this morning. Please post your information. :)
I really hope they can confirm the trip as you had requested and that you are not disappointed.

We have used them 6 times and have had no issues and have used Tiffany twice. We are switching to Tiffany for our cruise in March as the Happy Limo cars we have had the past two times were pretty tired and interior beat up. Tiffany on the other hand had very nice cars the 2 times we have used them.
