I was inquiring the final cost of the above for my party of 7 (1 child and 1 infant). The web site states:

The Happy HalloWishes Dessert Premium Package costs $69 for adults or $39 for children (ages 3 to 9), plus tax. A separate Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket is also required and is not included in the price of the package.

I assumed my cost would be $408.96 (5 @ $69 + 1 @ $39 plus 6.5% tax). The total I was quoted was $442.00..................................... a small comment the web site did not note "plus gratuity".

But what's the difference among friends.

I had the same exact issue yesterday. The difference is another 7.5% tax that is added to the $69, but is not broken out as "tax". It's not gratuity. The actual price of the ticket is $69 + 7.5%tax + 6.5%tax = $79/Adult Ticket. I spent about a half hour on the phone with 2 difference cast members trying to explain the discrepancy in the price on the website. I don't think they'll change it though.

Dining put me on hold, came back and said it was gratuity, however, if it truly was gratuity, I think we would all agree that the difference would be 18% not 7.5%.

I guess that why the web site won't be changed since the additional charge is some kind of "tax".

They actually did change it on the website, but it's still wrong. It now says $79 & $47, plus tax; however, those prices include the tax. It's definitely not gratuity, they gave you incorrect information.

This has been changed in the last 15 minutes; still wrong but changed.

For anyone who attended the dessert party last year, did you think it was worth the price? I have one booked for the 10/25 party and am now thinking maybe I'll cancel it. Just wondering if attendance at the dessert party will take away from the time you have for the other events in the park.

We did it last year as two adults and probably wouldn't do it again. We enjoyed the reserved space for the parade, but we did still get there early and were glad we did because all the space along the curb/rope was full. They gave us free bottled water while we waited for the parade which was nice, and they did a good job at patrolling to make sure no one without a lanyard pass was in the area. They then escorted us behind the scenes over to Tomorrowland Terrace. We had an assigned table, but people did stand along the railing to view HalloWishes when it started so we were not able to sit at our table and relax during the fireworks. Our view was blocked so we had to stand as well. We did think the desserts were good, and they gave us a cup filled with candy to bring home. The whole experience was just ok so we wouldn't spend the money again.

I do think this is may be a good idea for a larger group possibly, since you all have a reserved space and can stay together.

I also can't imagine why they would include gratuity in the price. A CM sat us at our assigned table, but no one was waiting on you. The drinks and desserts were set up buffet style and were self-serve, and no one ever cleared our table until we were leaving.

Just wondering were you still able to see the stage show and do other things? Based on their schedule it seems like you barely have any time to actually enjoy the rest of the party. We are eating at Cali Grill on a MNSSHP night earlier in the week so not worried about seeing an awesome view of the fireworks since we will be getting that then. I have just become accustom to the dessert parties because they help with my fiance's anxiety so I was thinking of getting this for some friends and us but idk if it is worth it with all the other things we also want to do.

Plus there was a sparkling apple cider drink served in plastic champagne glasses. As hallowishes began, everyone raised their glasses in a toast. My guys really liked that part, made them feel grownup and special.

Is this thing already sold out? I tried for my date and said not available....

It is definitely time consuming. The reserved parade area is for the first parade which starts like 8:15-8:30pm if I recall correctly. Since we didn't know what to expect, we got to the reserved area around 7:50pm. The reserved area is at the tail end of the parade route, so we were there for a while. It wasn't until about 9pm or shortly after that we were heading over to the terrace for the party. So it all takes up a good two hours of party time I would say. Our main focus was the parade and Hallowishes though - as two adults we didn't have an interest in the stage shows or character meets. For those interested in that, you could do those 7pm-8pm and again from 10pm-12am, depending on the times they're scheduled for. But that leaves little time for rides too.

At our party which was on 10/27, the CM who sat us poured the Cider in the glasses and gave us a toast as we were sitting down. There wasn't anything after that. It was a little awkward for us, but kids would probably get a kick out of it.
