Is anyone doing this? if so why and if you have done it before how was it? Thanks

I am — though I'm really disappointed it doesn't include the parade viewing anymore. But it's my partner's birthday, and we like the idea of "desserts + sitting somewhere for a bit", so we're still doing it, but it's definitely not as good of a value as it was before. This will be our first time, but we'd read previous reviews.

For me, the parade is the end all be all. I watch both and won't miss it for anything.

Also, w all the candy and what not a dessert party is For me

Can you say, "rip off"?

You're spending a lot of money to attend the party, and part of the reason is that there are a limited number of tickets sold.

With a limited number of guests in the park already, there is no reason why you should need to pay even more to obtain a good view of the fireworks and parade.
