We aren't doing much this year.. and next year we will be packing for our Disney trip... which gives me an idea... I'll throw a little Disney themed party for us..

We don't have big plans for the 4th either--my parents are just back from a trip to Texas, so we may go down and see them that day. If not, it'll just be a day to kick back and relax!

We have big plans this year. We have a place at the beach, and we are having the 4th of July pot luck at our place. It's like a big block party and everyone brings something. The last few years, I've been working, and DH has gone without me...so this year I'm off and for some reason I said we can have it at our place. Then DH said he was going to fire up the smoker...and the ice cream freezer...YUMMMMO!!!

So today I'm cooking a ham and making broccoli salad, doing wash and then working tonight. DH went down last night, and is getting the sound system set up. I'll go down tomorrow, and make fruit salad and decorate.

So, techically we could have our disney themed party at your place!!! LOL
We are anxiously awaiting DH to get here for his surprise 40th birthday party today.. I think we have managed to keep him snowed.. When I brought extra food in and started cooking, I fibbed and told him it was for my mom's on 4th of July because we are going down there to swim.. LOL He bought it!!! He is so gullible!!!
ETA: Look at me.. I'm getting my DIS fix before the party!!!
I got a DIS fix last night when we took the kids to the Radio Disney 3rd birthday party for Indianapolis.. and we got to see the Jonas Brothers in concert!!

Happy 4th everyone. We're going swimming at my parents' community pool and then having a BBQ. Hopefully, if the thunderstorms hold off, we'll get to see fireworks. My kids keep comparing them to Wishes. They will be disappointed.

Happy Fourth!!!

I have been painting all day - yeah. My parents bought us a new front door for Christmas, very pretty, lots of glass. My dad installed it on Saturday and today, I have been painting. It will eventually be pretty. It is going Mickey's Pants red (gotta love home depot), but it has already taken two coats and it is really gonna need a third. No time now, though, we are going to put the locks back on the thing and go to dinner. Maybe I will do the third coat this weekend.

Thank you for asking it went very well.. He was totally surprised!!!! Even my stepsons were clueless!!!! LOL

Happy 4th of July everyone!!! It rained this morning but it is a beautiful cool day now.. I'm starting dinner.. Pork Chops, corn on the cob, and homemade home fries!!! (yes, I even have applesauce for dessert!)

I'm so glad the surprise party went well. Hope your dinner went well too. We have rain now but we expected it so we did our cookout at lunch.
