I had posted earlier about an IRS issue we were having with our returned amendment due to getting an inheirtance
after calling several numbers some more then once I found a number where you could make an appointment
and since our local office isopened we figured we would just make an app and talk to some one
so after an hr on hold finally someone answered
he was just super--took down a lot of info--put my DH on hold for about 15 minutes
came back with a wonderful explation--as he put it the IRS coded our payment wrong so it was never linked to our amendment
he said it was the IRS fault--which was our guess but to someone admit that the goverment actually made a mistake really surprised us
