Two weeks until the new Premier League season starts and the good Lord above has smiled on the Villa already! The appointnent of Martin O'Neill to the hotseat has brought an air of enthusiasm with it that Villa fans have long yearned for. Ok, we won't win the title in his first year but with new ownership and much-needed investment just around the corner, the future can only look bright when viewed from the Holte End!! Bring it on!!

Hmmmm . . . shouldn't that be "surreal"??? Funny how the same 3-5 teams keep going up and down from the Premier league like yo-yos. Actually, the "real" football season starts on Sept 7th when the Miami Dolphins travel to Pittsburgh to take on the winners of the last Superbowl, the Steelers in the first game of the 2006 NFL season. From that point on, all other sports and sporting events will only get passing attention from me!!
