We just got back from WDW. We took the DVC tour while there and Tony did a fantastic job of explaining DVC to my DH, who was of the "timeshares are bad" mindset. After some more talking, DH let me buy!! 160pts at BLT. (We'll need to add on later, but this is a start!)

YAY!!!! My DH was formerlly of the "timeshare is bad" mindset too....but I brought him around.....we just bought in January and am SO SO SO happy!

Now DH is lucky enough to get daily tips about Disney thanks to the DIS and all you smart DVCers!

I amsoooo thrilled! It took a little work, but I was able to convince him. We have 3 kids so we don't really have the option of staying in a cheap hotel room. I love the idea that I can pay that cheap hotel price and stay in a 1br that embarrasses the heck out of the family suites that are available.

I was just like you DH when we went onthe tour. I asked all the hard questions and reasons why I didn't like timeshares and Ray(our guide) gave all the right answers. I had to buy

My husband still thinks it is bad...but since we just passed ROFR and closing papers have to be in by March 3rd, he can think it all he wants. He bought it to shut me and the kids up, I'm good with that!

I am hoping he changes his mind about it all after our first trip down as official DVC owners.

Same here. We stayed at OKW because of a great cash price and decided to take the tour. I had the Neanderthal TIMESHARE, BAD attitude going into it and put my foot down that we were not signing anything. Meeting our guide, the first words out of my mouth were to inform him that this cannot take long because we need to get my daughter to the parks (she was in another room eating ice cream and could not care less if we were in the parks).

After the presentation the guide left us to talk about it and I looked at the spouse and said, “WE HAVE TO DO THIS NOW!” We decided to wait until Boardwalk opened. I made a cash reservation the first day it officially opened and we signed the paperwork that day.

Best money I ever spent. Here is to many great vacations and memories to you and yours for our new fellow members. Welcome Home!
