I will not have to deploy. I have to go to "Ordnance Officer's Basic Course" at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD for six months, and then I will be posted to a unit. Right now, I hope to get an assignment with the Army's 10th Mountian Division at Fort Drum, NY. The mountian troops could see additional action in Afghanistan (they were involved in the "Tora Bora" action), but it is doubtful that they would be sent to Iraq.
