Well...25 third graders in Arizona celebrated his birthday. We wrote him birthday letters, wrote acrostic poems (Mickey), planned meals for one day with a budgeted amount using Disneyland menus, watched Steamboat Willie, wore our ears and other assorted Disney gear, and shared special Disney/Mickey items with classmates. Oh, and we sang "Happy Birthday". We had a blast. I've been doing this with third and fourth graders for at least 5 years now.

Happy Birthday, Mickey! Thanks for everything.

Awww, this brings back fond memories! When my kids were in 2nd grade, they'd have a big party for Mickey Mouse. I'd make a giant Mickey icon chocolate chip cookie for each of the classes. If I had remembered, I'd have made one today (for me ).
