I was reading yesterday that today is the anniversary of the press event with invited guests.

The 18th, however, was the date it was first open to the public.

Take your choice of which you think is the birthday!

The person who wrote the info even has a pin that Disneyland itself sold in '05, showing a ticket from the day it opened, and the date on it is July 18.
