Happy 141st Birthday !!! (Pictures in post)

Yes, this weekend (June 20th), despite what people outside of a 200 mile radius may think, marks the 141st anniversary of the day that Abraham Lincoln signed the bill making West Virginia the 35th state in the union.

(This message posted as a public service for those that don't seem to realize that West Virginia is an actual STATE, so when I mention I'm from there, telling me about your cousin in Richmond just makes you look like an idiot And no, unfortunately, I'm not joking about that...happens all the time (the last just two weeks ago in New York)

Anyway, just thought I'd post a little slice of my beautiful state for you guys to enjoy

WOW...those photos are beautiful!! I had no idea West Virginia is so lovely. Looks like a wonderful state to visit...might have to put it on my list!!

Those are beautiful pictures! I went to WV to go skiing in Feb. Once we got in the mountians I was just awestruck at the beauty of it all! I cant wait to go back again!

You guys should see some of those views when ALL the trees look like the ones in that one picture....On fall Saturday mornings I'm usually on the road between Charleston and Morgantown for WVU home games, and when the leaves are at their "peak" color it's just about the prettiest sight you'll ever see
