checking in at 9 AM after a bad morning at another hotel and the CM saying..."I've got good news for you!"

:banana::banana::banana:Our room was ready at 9 AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Thank you Disney for smiling when you greeted us at the front gate. Thank you OKW CM for welcoming us home and reminding us why we keep coming back!:goodvibes

Thanks for very much for this subject title. It immediately brought to mind a childhood song by Ira F. Stanphill ... and I've been humming it to myself all day long. Thanks!

Nice!

I too was drawn to your thread title. This morning, my DS5 sat up in bed and said "Mom, don't you wish we were at Disney.....at our Animal Kingdom home?" After annual trips over the last 3 years, he gets it.

Now THAT'S happiness! :love:

That would make me happy!! Especially after a cr*ppy night/morning elsewhere!

I too was intrigued by the title so I'll add to PP and say - Happiness is when your dd3 passes on her night time lulluby and says "Mommy, lets talk Disney". Makes me smile just thinking about it :lovestruc

Hi ADAMANDLISA,
That is great news. Disney really does know how to make things all better :goodvibes. I am constantly reminded of why I love Disney and being a DVC member. :lovestruc Thanks for sharing. :thumbsup2

We had gotten a room in an offsite hotel for one night through Hotwire....the hotel itself wasn't really bad, but I wasn't really happy with the service. We were all up early and ready to come to OKW...got the boys ready and DH was dressed. I took my shower and went to dry my hair with the hotel's hair dryer and ....nothing. The outlet didn't even work, nor did the one around the corner from the bathroom.

I called the front desk and told them of my situation. The girl who answered asked me if any other outlets in the room worked and I said yes, the one by the phone. She told me, as if I were stupid, to move the hairdryer over there to use. I then told her, as if she were stupid:rotfl:, that hotel hair dryers are attached to the wall.:lmao:She said she would have a "loose" one sent up.

25 minutes later, I finally sent DH and the boys down to breakfast with instructions to go to the front desk and find out what was going on. He calls me about 5 minutes later and says there is no hair dryer.

Now my hair isn't the kind that can "air dry", so I turned the room heater on 90 degrees :scared1: and tried to do what I could, but it was hopeless.

Don't get me wrong...I'm on vacation and I wasn't about to let a bad hair day ruin my vacation, but it irritated me that no one was going to even tell me that there was no hair dryer. They just left me sitting in my room waiting....After breakfast, I confronted the front desk girl, who after first looking horribly guilty, said "oh, we were just about to call you" and proceeded to refund me my $5 service fee.

I guess we are spoiled by Disney because if something actually WEREN'T to work, they would fix it ASAP. Disney would never keep you waiting that long (except for luggage maybe:rotfl:) and would do what they needed to do to make you feel like a welcome guest.

That's why driving in through the gates and hearing "Welcome Home" and seeing genuine smiles on the CM's faces and special surprises like an early check-in really make all the difference.

There's only one problem now.......we have both caught a serious case of addonitis!:rotfl:
