Hey aren't you guys a little too married to be going on your honeymoon?

Why yes.... Yes we are;)

A long time ago there lived a prince who was cursed and turned into a hideous beast, in order to break the spell he had to find a girl who would fall in love with him despite his imperfections(hey Im far from a princess myself ; p) ......

True that he's no Prince Charming, but there simply something ......

Okay long story short I married the beast or Jesse as he prefers to be called!

My got married on May 1st.....2010 :confused3

Yay you read correctly 3 years ago.

Why did we wait so long to have our honeymoon... Life just happens
also kids and jobs and home buying, but better late then never!

We had scheduled our honeymoon for October of 2010. When we would have the funds and ample time off of work to actually enjoy our honeymoon.

Well we found out we were expecting and after that we just never had time..until now

So after two beautiful baby boys and three years of blissful holy matrimony.

We decided we want a honeymoon ...........and not only a honeymoon a Disneymoon!

My husband loves vacation, we can go anywhere and as long as we could relax and not do anything he is happy.

I am actually going to be at disney solo 5 weeks before our Disneymoon to run in a ten miler. Jesse wanted to go to show support, but he could not take the time off. He was a bit disappointed but what are you gonna do.

Several weeks ago he calls me and he is super excited.

He tells me he looked up his time and he has five personal days to waste before the end of the year.

In my mind I knew this meant another Disney trip but I had to convince him.

At first he said we had been with the kids too many times and maybe we should go elsewhere. I asked him if it were just us two woud he go. He agreed if it just us two and I could leave the kids(and not be anxious about it) with my mother.

Next logical step would be when?

Well our APs are up December 10th so it have to be before that. I loved the Christmas decorations but I hated going in December when I came back I felt like I had to rush the holidays. So we decided November it is.

After checking easywdw and touring plans we saw the lowest week in November would be the week before thanksgiving. It was perfect because most of the holiday festivities would be going on. There are some drawbacks parks close earlier. There is no CP, but I still get to be in the spirit of the holidays early , MVMCP, and resort decoration of which I will be seeing this time around.

So our dates are November 13th-19th. Long enough to enjoy everything, but short enough that my kids won't think I abandoned them. :lmao:

So where are we staying?.......

We went in January with my sister Mari my nephew and our kids. We stayed a night at Old Key west and I loved it so much. I think that resort is charming and peaceful.

So what better place than any to stay for our disneymoon!

Its been booked and hopefully the time flys by!!

here are some pics from January

The only thing thats a bit disappointing is that there is only queen beds no king bedroom.

this was our view hope to get something similar.

So charming isn't it..

Can't wait to go on a swim.

Looks like you have a great honeymoon in the works, even if it is a few years later! :goodvibes

Thanks I'm trying to make it magical without making us feel too busy.

Updated!!!!

Disney recently had a 25% off sale and I purchased somethings for the kids as well ss some goodies for our disney trip.

I ordered myself minnie wedding ears. I ordered for my hubby mickey tuxedo ears. I have seen many disney couples wearing them around the parks.

I was so jealous, lol I have always wanted those ears. So now I have them and we will rock our disneymoon ears.

I have also decided to rent a car. Hubby loves cars and I wanted to rent maybe a convertible or other speciality car. It makes it easy to go to our resort ADRs. Plus I love shopping outside of disney especially the outlets.

My hubby surprised me with a vera bradley rolling luggage and its amazing can't wait to officially use it for my October trip then of course in November. I will be taking it with me to wildwood next weekend but you know thats in a car driving. I have made most of our ADRs and will be posting my preliminary itinerary.

It's always such a big dilemma in the dis community to get the dining plan or not. Since we did rent DVC points and we know them well, we can add the dining plan to our room up to two days before check in.

I have been doing the math and looking at menus and I think ultimately we will do the dining plan.
Now many people talk about convince or they like the fact that it is prepaid but its not that difficult to put the money into a gift card or pay as you go. There are also many different variables to consider as well.

For example if I were going to pay out of pocket I would stick to my old favorites, maybe skip dessert choose more table services that had good quality food for different prices. Now on the dinning plan you want to try and max out your credits to make sure your not over paying. I am quite certain that if Disney didn't make money off of the dinning plan there would be no dining plan.

These are our non dining plan choices:
Via Napoli
Kona
50's Prime time
Ohana's
Biergaten
The plaza

These are dinning plan choices
Tutto gusto
Chef Mickey
Ohana's
Corral reef
Boma
Raglan road

When I added up the prices and option we would get from the dining plan choices it equaled to $570. That is with out factoring in the 12 quick service credits and the 12 snack credits as well as the soda mugs. The total cost of the dinning plan would be $672. I am still debating and looking into our choices. I think I have to look at the qs and snacks to determine if we can manage all that food. DH says yes of course but its a lot of food.

In December when we received free dinning we were the people at the end buying water and candy to get rid of snack credits we also left with two quick service meals credits because it was a bit much to eat.

Of course we have learned more about Disney restaurants and snacks and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't happen again.

So woohoo :rotfl: we are currently 93 days away from our Disney-moon pixiedust:. Before I know it we will be on that flight and back at the happiest place on earth( sorry DL, but I think WDW holds that title) :goodvibes

So sitting down and planning all of our meals and looking at all the menus is exhausting :crazy2: . I mean it is so much work. I did the math and getting the regular dinning plan was only going to cost a little more OOP. Then I actually took a step back and spoke with my husband to get this two cents on the matter.

It was actually my moment of clarity, he really doesn't like the dinning plan he feels like he has to order the most expensive thing on the menu, when in most cases he is fine with a burger.

This is why I love and adore this man because he is truly relaxed in nature and hold me down, when I start going a little Disney crazy.

So we will be paying out of pocket

But we have decided that these are the restaurants we would like to hit up on this trip:

Kona Cafe (breakfast)*
Ohana's (tradition)
50's Prime time*
The Plaza*
Via Napoli
Rainforest Cafe DTD
Biergarten*
Raglan Road*

Some of the counter Service places that we will be visiting are:
Pecos Bills
Columbia Harbor House*
Starring Rolls
BOG*
yak and Yeti CS*
Tangerine Cafe *
All * are new to us

Now some of our favorite must have snacks and a few items we want to try:
Dole whip float
citrus swirl*
nutella waffle*
cream cheese pretzel*
red velvet cupcake
ice cream sandwich*
kuche caramel popcorn
kuche vanilla caramel cupcakes*
schoolbread
oreo bon bons*

now I have to rearrange my schedule to fit all of our ADRs. :wizard:

WHAT'S A PRE TRIP REPORT WITHOUT A COUPLE OF SURPRISES?

Unfortunately I had to cancel my October Trip due to some changes with my class schedules. I would have missed too much of class time and lab time as well. Also I could not justify wasting airfare to fly down for two days so I had to pull my big girl panties up and cancel the whole trip. I was truly devastated...

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

A little confused.....:confused3

My fabulous too good to be true husband suggested we just add extra time to our Disneymoon!:cloud9:

I knew I married this man for a reason :cheer2:

:dance3: So we are staying from November 10th till November 19th :dance3:

We did look doing a split stay just to try another resort..

We decided we are stay at.......

Saratoga Springs Resort

It seems quite charming and relaxing, it reminds me of the resort from Dirty Dancing one of my all time favorite movies!!

I am really super excited and we only have 72 days left and that will pass super quickly.

I was tempted to stay CL Poly but my hubby convinced me to save the money on the resort and splurge in the parks. We picked up many things to do while touring the parks like special tours and dining experiences! So our new itinerary is up next ........

Never too late for a honeymoon, especially one at Disney! Enjoy! :tigger: sounds great that you got to add a few days since you had to cancel your October trip.

Yea I'm in the process of trying to perfect our schedule and I think I'm pretty set unless something new pops up! I really have to step away because knowing me I will keep changing.

LOL! The second time I went I did that. I booked almost a year in advance and I booked my ADRs as early out as I could and then kept changing everything around. This time, I booked on a whim, with less than two months, made my plans, and I am letting them stay. I am not going to make myself crazy with over analyzing like I usually used to. This is about as fly by the seat of my pants as I get. :lmao:

I use to be very relaxed Witt the whole trip planning then I had a baby and going to the store started turning into mission impossible. So now I plan everything. It's works well for us mostly lol.

I use to be a relaxed individual then I had my son and suddenly going to the store becomes mission impossible. I am so glad that i found disboards before I went to Disney World for the first time because I would have probably hated it. But we normally schedule park days and daily ADR but since we will be using Disney transportation and I'm trying to make this trip spectacular since we won't be going back till mid 2015. But I really am gonna have to step back and stop because I will drive myself or worst my hubby crazy! I'm gonna post mt itinerary so you guys can make me keep my promise.

The itinerary for me is very important, normally when I have the kids we make a plan and stick with it. For the most part everything on the itinerary is interchangeable except for the items that are prepaid. Its more important to enjoy our honeymoon and our time together.
If at all during the trip we are stressed or exhausted or just not having fun, we just adjust the plans.

A lot of thought went into making this trips plans not only because it is so special but also because its the first time without kids and more importantly without a rental car!

You read right we are crazy enough to rely on only Disney transportation.

I decided that we both need to relax and there something about not needing to drive yourself about that seems so wonderful. We rather put money aside for cabs just in case then rent a car. its not like we will be in a rush to get anywhere.

So without further ado our Disneymoon plans!!:banana::banana:

The days are flying by now. It's very exciting as I would love to be in Disney already. We are at 56 days!

We are doing some shopping. My husband has bought me new vera Bradley luggage in mocha rouge which I adore. We also picked him out a carry on. Our whole trip is paid for all we are saving up now is for food and spending money.

All of our tours and special reservations like wishes dessert, MVMCP, KTTK tour, Spirit of Aloha Show are paid for woohoo!

There are still some things that we need to purchase as well as clothes shopping for the vacation yay!

I didn't put in into the itinerary but Jesse really wants to try the Richard Petty experience, also we always go to the AMC in Downtown Disney. Jesse enjoys the little things like that and he doesn't really ask for much so I try and make him happy.

Thor comes out the week before we go down so that would be great to watch at Disney.

I have never been happier or more in love, but we need this alone time. I love my sons to death but when they are around which is always, we do things centered around the boys all the time. Eat at kid friendly restaurants, on our days off we visit the zoo or park or sesame place.

It will be nice to just catch up just us too.

Next up detailed daily itinerary....

So I been very relaxed on writing I have been super busy. We are 20 days out but I still haven't packed anything. I still have to buy a lot of things for this trip. I have managed to lose 25 pounds so I will be buying a whole new wardrobe for this trip. Getting my kids use to mommy being gone for 10 hours the most, they have done really well so far at least with Grandma. I still have to make packing list and finish finalizing the itinerary. Other than finally landing a reservation at be our guest nothing new has been added. So onto our departure day. I have taken the sunday prior to our vacation off so that I can take the boys to my sisters house in New York. My husband so work that pays so he'll be staying in Philadelphia. Then our trip really begins early Monday morning with a with an early flight that leaving philadelphia international at 7 am . I will be taking only 1 carry on and one checked bag between the both of us. I'm just going to carry on something to eat on the plane when we're in the air or might just grab something quick from the airport to eat for breakfast. We are set to land in Orlando at 930 AM. I hope that we get to Disney Magical Express and get to RV Resort by 12 o'clock the latest. We just plan to drop off our bags, check in and go grab lunch somewhere on the boardwalk.
