I know there is quite a lengthy thread on the traditional HEA dessert parties, but now that we are a couple of months into it, I would like to know your experience with attending the After dessert party. The reviews I have found seem to have been earlier on so I don't think it was a full as expected.
It seems like the dessert offerings are pretty similar aside from a few hot items.
We did the tomorrow land terrace party and found it to be rushed and not as enjoyable as we expected.
The reason I am considering doing the after party is that we are going during the week after thanksgiving and the MVMCP is happening 3 of the 4 nights we are there - so we are expecting that one evening at MK to be busy. I am envisioning that with the after party we could show up a 1/2 hour before fireworks, still get a decent spot and then have an hour after to enjoy some treats, all while the park is emptying out. That mob at the end of the night can be brutal!
So a couple questions I am wondering:
Did you show up at 8:00 (for a 9:00 HEA)?
If you showed up early, did you feel it was necessary?
Was the viewing area packed by show time?
How was the seating for your dessert party?
Did you enjoy the selection of offerings?
What benefits, if any, did you see with doing the After party?
If you have any other tips/thoughts/ideas about your experience please share!
