Got mine today, and am not so happy. :sad2: It's bigger than the gold mickey GOH badge, which I love and got for my son, but it definately doesn't look as nice engraved. I think it's too big for the letters. Bummer!! The gold mickey badge is beautiful though! 1 out of 2's not bad, huh? :confused3

sent you a couple of PM's last week re Illuminations cruise. Have you, or are you, cancelled yet ??
Thanks

I asked this in another thread, but never received an answer: What exactly is a Guest of Honor Badge? TIA

Guest of Honor badges. They kind of look like CM name badges, but our for the "guest of honor". You can have them engraved for free with the "guests" name. I didn't know either, but went to Laughing Place.com and saw how cute they were then paid almost double what I think they cost in the park to get them for before we go.

Got them at Laughingplace.com--expensive, almost twice as much as you'd pay at the park, but I wanted to have something for the kids before we left.

I will post pictures, but need to figure out how--never done this before. It might take me some time, but check back/subscribe.

I put in an order in February for the Red Mickey goh pin for my son. I still have not recieved it due to it being sold out. I purchased it through the laughingplacestore.com and they keep in contact with me to let me know the progress. I have two choices 1) decide on a different style -which i really don't wanna do. or 2) keep on waiting for the classic mickey one--which i really want. The only problem is, they told me that they don't know when or IF they will get that style back..... :confused3 now what? I am wondering if i'll be forced to change the style. There are other ones that are equally as cute, but I just had my heart set on that one.

What color do they engrave the name in on the Tinkerbell one?...white? I am trying to decide which one I want. :earboy2: Also, is there a large difference in the size?

Yes, they use white on the Tinkerbell one, and as I said, I was not pleased. The space to put the name in is just too large. The gold mickey one is engraved in black and looks great. I'll try to get this figured out and post pictures of both of ours.

Left work early because son is sick, and have been trying to post pictures of these new badges with no luck. I read the sticky thread FAQ on posting, but am having no success. I went to DIS community photo to upload pictures, but it keeps saying:

"There were 1 files which exceeded limits which do not appear in this list:
DSC01086.JPG (exceeds filesize limit).
Either remove files to make more room or reduce the size of the files you are uploading and then try again."

It's only one little picture. I feel stupid because I know it's probably something simple (I'm a school teacher, too--should be able to figure this out!) Sorry, no pictures!

my husband asked this at the engraving at downtown disney.
They have asked, they don't know when or if the red badges are coming back.

Have you checked out giftsunlimited.com? I've had great luck working with them in the past. I'm hoping to order some badges before our trip for the 3 (maybe 4) of us.

You can order these from the Christmas Store at DTD at the normal price. Marina said she doesn't think they will receive any more of the red badges until after the 50th celebration is over, so I ordered the gold mickey's for the boys, along with normal mickey ear hats with their names being embroidered in gold, to match the GOH badges. Haven't received them yet, but I know they've been super busy. Gold GOH badges were selling very quickly.

Good idea with the hats!! Your boys will be really cute. Kind of feel like I screwed up getting the tinkerbell badge--should have just stuck with good old Mickey! ::MickeyMo

Order yourself the Mickey one and sell that one on ebay! There is surely someone out there with the same name that will think this in one of a kind and pay big $$ for it!!! LOL You just never know!

Mary

Always wanted to get my feet wet with selling on ebay, but I'm afraid I'll get addicted to it, like I am to the Dis. Good thinking though!! Might make a pretty penny :) Will probably just hold onto it, knowing my daughter will love it just because it has Tinkerbell on it. Gotta keep reminding myself who this trip is really for. :teeth:

Hi Tracy :wave2:

I was wondering what the size difference between the 2 different badges are? I know that the Tink ones are supposed to be "bigger". Thanks :)

Julie

Can you order these and have them delivered to your room/resort?? What a wonderful surprise to have these waiting in our room/resort when we arrive to Disney!!
