Hi Everyone,

Just 50 days until my check-in to Saratoga Springs for our Hanukkah Disney Vacation. Just 51 days until Hanukkah. This will be our first time we were actually at Disney World when it will actually be Hanukkah. We have been on Christmas before, but it wasn't also Hanukkah. We have been in December mid month before for a few days, but it was not Hanukkah. So this is a first. I'm looking for other Dis'ers who will be celebrating Hanukkah at WDW. Maybe possbily to join in together for a Hanukkah meet gathering. On the first night of Hanukkah Dec 24th, I have Animal Kingdom planned. So far park hours are closing fairly early, but who knows. Where's River's of Light...right? We can discuss all things Hanukkah here such as where to get latkes. Looking forward to some planning.

We might be driving up for a day from south Florida. If we do I'll pop back in because I'd love to do some Hanukkah celebration at Disney.

Oh, I do hope you can drop by!! I have heard that the American Adventure pavilion at EPCOT has some Hanukkah storytelling or something, and there will also be on storytelling and songs for Hanukkah on the stage at Disney Springs. I haven't seen any schedule yet, but if I do, I'll post it here. Maybe we can get a group gathering.

Yep I've done Hanukkah at American Adventure. It is a cute little thing that gives a small taste of the holiday. I was excited to hear they added something at Disney springs. I'all be sad that there is no longer the big dreidel and menorah in DHS during the holiday season. Maybe they'all add something festive since Osborne lights are gone.

I'm really hoping that they do add more. We have the platinum annual passes for this year. We had gotten them because months after booking our Spring Break trip to the Boardwalk Villas, they added the tiers. We had to upgrade to platinum passes to keep our spring break reservation, so we figured why not also go during the holidays which are blacked out for the Gold and Silver APs. Next year, we won't be going during spring break because we have a cruise booked. We likely will only make one trip in the summer, as my daughter is now in 9th grade, we probably will not be missing school to go during non-holiday times. However, I don't think I'd pay the extra to go during the holidays next year, just for one holiday trip. We'll see. Doing Disney this year at Christmas/Hanukkah means probably spending next Christmas break visiting family instead. Not a bad thing..but not a Disney thing. So, I need to get all my Hanukkah and Disney in at once. Besides, next year Hanukkah will not again be during the winter holiday break. I didn't check yet when it is, but I thought someone said it was fairly early.

It is the 12-20th of December next year so doesn't sound like most winter breaks.
