I can't believe it hasn't sold out yet! With only 5,000 tickets, I figured it would have sold out already. Is this being advertised in California or is this mostly word of mouth? I see it on the DL page, but they don't have anything on the events page about it.

I also thought they would sell out a lot faster. Maybe if they don't sell as many tickets as they had hoped to, they'll be "Dreaming" people with tickets on the day of the event

Keeping in mind that the economy is still really quite bad for many of us, and as a result, x number of families that would have liked to have attended this event, just cannot afford to do so, at this time.

FYI, someone has tickets listed on an "auction" website (not sure if I can mention other web addresses here). Anyway, she and her husband bought tickets at the same time and now she has 4 extra tickets. The bid starts out at $125 a ticket. I know that is still a lot of money, but better than $250 a ticket. Just thought I would let you know.

Are we sure they are only selling 5000 tickets? I did not see that number anywhere. Where was that reported?

I can't believe they are not sold out yet. For her concerts, she was selling entire stadiums in just minutes.

I think people are just plain sick of this girl. Disney waaaaaaaaaay over did the miley/hannah marketing and she was a fad. My daughter is not a fan anymore, after seeing her antics on the net and I think she is just sick of seeing her face plastered EVERYWHERE. She would have loved to go to this event in the hopes of seeing the Jonas Bros and some of the other disney stars.
I have trouble believing that 2000-2500 families (1-2 parents/1-2 kids) in California don't have that money hanging around. Think Beverly Hills, communities at the beaches, hollywood,etc... There is a LOT of money in California and to those families a thousand bucks is like us buying a cup of coffee. Its nothing to them. I have to think everyone is miley'd out!

I know. I was figuring 1250 families of four. I think the parents might be sick of her, but if you have ever been to a concert, the kids aren't. They listed only 5,000 tickets being sold on the disney website and in the In Touch magazine. Although the didn't say what other people would be there (her friends), I would bet money on it that you will see the HSM3 cast, the Cheetah girls, and the Jonas Brothers. They all have concert tours/movies coming out soon. This is going to be taped and aired later, so I doubt it will just be Miley! From what I have read on other websites, this was the only date that "everyone" could be there. I also don't think it is being advertised that much since it is a private function. It isn't listed on the DL events page. When word of mouth gets around, I am sure it will sell out. Like you said, there are still lots of people out there that can afford to go and not even think about it. Must be nice. I am going, but it wasn't easy to shell out that kind of money. At least it promotes youth community involvement.

I think Jade darkstar was referring to the post about Hannah Montana being a fad and that the posters daughter was sick of her.

I am sure that if we look back to our teenage years and think what if everythingyou did was taped and previewed for everyone to see, we would be a little less critical on Miley.
I was a good kid, but I still wouldn't have wanted to be "on camera" all the time.
Let me stop those that will say--she's getting paid. Yes, but she is still a child.

From what I've read and seen, I think Miley is a good kid. My daughters are just a bit older and they've done some silly stuff,too...only their stuff doesn't end up on a million websites. It's a lot different now than when we were kids. I'm going to Miley's party with my wife and my sister, and the youngest one of us is 52! BTW, ww love Disney, we love America, and Miley is just about as all-American as you can get...wholesome, clean-cut.

$250 per person? LOL No way. My son isn't a fan, but does like the Jonas Brothers. But I still wouldn't pay that much, even if it was a party for them. I'm sure that is out of reach for a lot of regular families. But seriously, even if I could afford that, I still wouldn't pay that much. That's just overboard.
