We saw HM yesterday in Worcester. The concert itself was great, but we went early to go to the pre-show based on what people had written here and that was a big mistake. The pre-show not only wasn't worth going to but the kids were really worn out with waiting by the time the concert started that they didn't enjoy it as much as they could have.

Here is a description of the pre-show. The concert was at 4:00 and the preshow was supposed to start at 1:30. We got there on time and found the bus. There was a huge crowd but nothing going on. We took DD's picture in front of the bus, but nothing was happening. At about 1:45 a guy comes out of the bus and says "everyone go away and come back after 2:00". Ok, so where are we supposed to go? The only option was the lobby so we went inside.

We came back out at 2:00 and there was still nothing going on, but now there was a little tent set up. We worked our way through the crowd (hundreds of people aimlessly standing and waiting) and nothing was there but the tent. After awhile they put boxes out. Someone got on a speaker and said you could drop your raffle tickets off there and the drawing would be at 2:45. OK, we did that and went back inside. There was still nothing going on. After standing inside for awhile, (ds is now in big time whiney mode - we have been standing and doing nothing for about an hour) we went back out. Now, finally, they had karoake going. We managed to get the kids where they could see a bit but the crowd was so heavy you could barely move. It seemed they were only selecting teenagers for the karaoke. There was a line which we investigated but it turned out people were waiting in a big line just to get a picture with a cardboard cutout of Miley. Finally at about 3:00 they did the drawing. They gave out 4 sets of backstage passes (2 passes to each winner) and two 4th row tickets. DD didn't win. At that point it was about 3:10 and we didn't really care about the little prizes and just wanted to sit down so we went inside. All in all it was very hard on the kids and not worth it at all.

Again, the concert was great. But skip the pre-show.
