I took my girls to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert on Thursday, 10/18 in St. Louis. I've seen a couple other reports on here, but none with pics, so I thought I'd share in case anyone is interested.

DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!

We took the girls out of school around 2pm to head to St. Louis. It's normally around a 2 1/2-3 hour drive, and we're not familiar with the downtown area, so we wanted to make sure we got there in time.

We found the arena easily shortly before 5pm, and snagged a close parking spot for $15. There was lots of activity around the arena. The Miley World bus was there giving out Miley tatoos, Tooth Tunes toothbrushes (not sure what you had to do to get one of those), and handing out "lottery tickets". We got our 3 lottery tickets at 5:30, and we were told the drawing would be held at 6. We went to grab some food at Union Station. DD8 and I were still eating at a few minutes til 6, so DH took DD10 back to the bus for the drawing. They got there right at 6:00, and they had already drawn for most of the prizes! We were so bummed! They gave away an outfit that Miley wore on the show, and autographed guitar, 5 meet and greet passes, and a few other smaller prizes.

(I don't know HOW all you computer saavy people get your pics to show up in your posts, but I've spent several hours sorting pics on the computer for the last 2 days, and I don't have any more patience, so you'll have to deal with just links. Sorry!)

There was also a Radio Disney area set up, and another radio station was there handing out small posters and crayons.

There were some setups around with cameras, and I figured they were probably interviewing kids to be on the DVD, but the lines were huge, and we didn't want to miss the show, so we skipped that.

The girls checked out the souvies as we walked through the halls of the arena to find our seats, and they told me what they wanted. I got them all settled into their seats, and I went back out to stand in line.

The first line I was in for 30 minutes, and they were already out of the sizes I needed for t-shirts and they sold the last glow stick right as I was about to ask for it, so I just got 2 t-shirts for the friends we were buying for at home, and I moved on to the next stand. Again I waited 30 more minutes, got the 2 shirts, and they sold the last glow stick on me again! I ended up buying a burned out one from them because I figured it just needed new batteries, and DD8 really wanted one. By the time I got back to my seat, the Jonas Brothers were already done and it was intermission. DD8 was NOT happy with the burned out glow stick, but what's a mom to do? Pretty soon Billy Ray came out and sat in the sound booth. He stayed there throughout the whole show. We were only about 10 rows behind the sound booth, but none of the pics I took of him came out because it was too dark.

Then Hannah came out, lowered from a box from the ceiling.

(Look for the little Hannah on the stage. The big one is the screen behind the stage.)

She sang several songs as Hannah, then the Jonas Brothers came back out while she transformed into Miley.

In the mean time, DD10 accidentally elbowed DD8 in the head while dancing, so DD8 was sitting there crying. I saw a vendor selling more glow sticks, so I made a run for it and traded in my dead one, and I scored some cookies & cream Dippin' Dots too, so once again, Mom saves the day!

Well, there's a few more pics in my dis community gallery, but it's wanting to go super s--l--o--w today for some reason, so I'll leave it at this for now.

Overall, it was a great show. She did come out and do an oncore by herself playing her guitar. I didn't know if this concert would be as good as the High School Musical one since there was only 1 main performer this time, but I enjoyed it just as much. The only bad part was the little girls screaming right in my ear, but I guess you have to expect that!

Great report and pictures!

How much did the Jonas Brothes sing? They are really my dd's favorite.

They sang for about 30 minutes before Hannah came on, then they came back out to sing one song with her, and sang a couple more songs on their own before she came back out as Miley. The one song of theirs that I was really hoping to hear was The Year 3000, and they sang it while I was getting the new glow stick and the ice cream, so I missed it! I was so bummed!

Great report and pictures!! Looks like you had good seats. Were they floor seats or elevated? Did she actually sing or was it all lip sync? We have to wait all the way until Dec. 29 for the concert!

Great report!!! Thanks for posting. Love the pics!! We are going to the Nashville show in Nov. :flower3:

Sooo awesome! I'm so glad they enjoyed themselves! How VERY cool! Thanks for sharing your pics with us too  Have to show my oldest later :)

We did the Moline show, and it was awesome! I'm still jamming to the Jonas Brothers in my minivan!!!:lmao: We were on the main floor, row 34. It was fine for me and my husband's views, but our daughter (7) and her friend had to stand on their chairs with me trying to spot them the whole time so they wouldn't take any nasty spills. Their views were still occasionally obstructed by people in front of us. Some friends were in the first "bowl" with tiered seating and were able to sit the whole time and see just fine. Our girls got pretty tired from standing the whole time, but still had a great time. Let's put it this way, my back was turned almost the entire second half of the show with holding the girls on their chairs, and I'd pay the NORMAL ticket price to go back to see it again just for myself. :goodvibes It was a great performance by both artists.

Does anyone know if she lips syncs or actually sings? We saw her in disney during a short concert and she did lip sync. My kids didn't seem to notice and enjoyed the concert.

Just wondering. :confused3

We were elevated in the first tier off the floor, 10th row. Our view was great. For HSM we had floor seats, and I'll never do floor again unless we're in the first few rows, which isn't likely. I did get 5th row center floor seats for New Kids on the Block once, so that was the highlight of my childhood!

If she was lip syncing, I didn't notice. I didn't really pay that much attention to that either, though.

Thanks for the report!
We are going to the show in TO December 15th and are very excited!
How long was the entire concert?

Awesome report! We go on Nov 12th! :cool1: Can anyone tell me how much the t-shirts are- trying to plan ahead! Thanks! :goodvibes

The concert was about 2 1/2 hours total. T-shirts were $30 and $35, glow necklaces were $10, zip up sweatshirt $60, set of 2 posters $15. They also had a winter hat, I think it was $15, programs were $20, tote bags were $20 I think.

Thanks for the report - we are heading to the concert tonight in Seattle. A couple of questions - -
Do you know if they are doing the pre show drawings and such at all locations???

Also - I am kind of a concert newbie - so you need cash for souvineers???

Going on Nov 4 ... though part of me is tempted to sell my tickets and profit like $500 but happiness for my daughters is more valuable ;) ... so can anyone who has already gone list the songs she sings. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the report and photos! Wish she was coming to a city close to us!

Lori123-Sorry I didn't get back to reply before you went to the concert, but for anyone else, they do accept credit cards for souvies, but it's faster if you have cash.

tamgelikah-I didn't keep track of exactly which songs she sang, but I think most of them were off of her newest album. I do remember for sure that she sang Girl's Night Out, Old Blue Jeans, and Pumpin' up the Party.

I was tempted to sell mine for the profit too, but I'd be the one they'd decide to make an example of and end up serving jail time for scalping! I thought the concert was well worth the cost of the tickets anyway.
