Tomorrow night I'm flying to Melbourne, where I'm gonna see wicked the nex day. Then we are flying to Hong Kong (shopping!!). Then london and cornwall then back to hong kong (DIsney this time!!) then back to sydney.


Just quickly saying i wont be on untill the 18th.

(Its 2009 nhere so happy new year! i dont know whether it is over there or not..)

Ooh we always travel on 747's! xD
They're not actually the safest of the lot but I mean we've only had one incident with a lost engine and firetrucks awaiting our arrival (It's a 9hour flight, we'd been in the air an hour we had a lot of fuel on board)

I would have had a panic attack.

What makes 747s less safe? What is the safest plane?

I'm so crazy. I'm convinced if I get on a plane it will crash. I've flown once when I was 2. I didn't know the dangers of plane travel then.

I was 6 at the time so I didn't really understand what was happening (except that we were going in the wrong direction to get to Florida which really pee'd me off xD). I remember a very panicked air hostess screaming at me to put my tray down and my colouring away, I thought that was rude xD It wasn't really scary though, the plane landed safely without exploding. Planes that have 4 engines can fly perfectly well on three, it just so happened we were only an hour into the flight so the captain made the decision to turn back, if we'd been flying for 5 hours and were over the atlantic we would've flown on to Orlando pretty uneventfully xD
I also remember one flight were we had a shakey landing. I think we were circling for about 30 minutes and running very low on fuel, the plane had already been delayed for 6 hours so it was now night time and well it was a dark bumpy ride xD

747's are less safe according to a site that takes their overall number of flights and the amount of incidents they've had. 777's, 737's and 767's are safer. I tink DC10's are quite safe as well but they had a nasty accident that destroyed their reputation kinda like concorde.
I love flying despite the fact I watch air crash investigation all the time xD
