I have just read that Joseph Barbera has died aged 95. Am i right in thinking that Hanna died some time ago?

I just read that this morning. I'm not sure when Hanna died. I love those old cartoon though. My favourite is Help Its The Hair Bear Bunch :yay:

I grew up watching lots of Hanna Barbera cartoons and I LOVED the Flintstones :)

I used to love going to 'Bedrock City' in Kelowna, BC in Canada and spending the day in Bedrock with all the Flintstones and Rubbles. :goodvibes

I have a real soft spot for their cartoons. I hope he keeps making them smile up in heaven!

I think Hanna died in 2001.

Wacky Races Rules!

although I probably modelled myself on Penelope Pitstop I have to say Yogi was DEFINATELY 'smarter than the average bear' :rotfl2: RIP - great cartoons!!

Sorry Matt but I often nag my son to watch these on sky instead of that pokemon rubbish :rotfl2: and much beter than yu-gi-oh!

Me too. :) In fact my youngest DD reckons the older Scooby Doo cartoons are much better than the more recent ones.

I have heard it too. How sad..

Whilst I would love to tell you how mistaken you are; Hanna Babara Cartoons were nice to watch when I was younger. I loved Wacky Races and the characters were so cool!

Nowadays it all appears to just be adding more to the brands established instead of making new stuff.. Then again, Warner Bros do it just as much too.. ;)

Me too ~ I hate all of that cheesy music in the new ones.

Until I heard the news of his death this morning I had forgotten how much H & B contributed to my childhood
