Hanging things on villa doors...

I made a wreath that I'd like to hang on our villa door. Is this allowed? If so, for those that have hung something, what is best to use to hang the wreath as to not damage the door? Magnetic hook or the 3M sticky hooks that peel off without chipping paint?

We like to hang a stocking on our door during the holidays and have hung a wreath. The interior doors are wood and the exterior doors are steel, so depending on where you are staying you should bring a magnet or removable sticky.

When using magnets, I always place a piece of paper between the door and magnet to prevent any scratches if it moves.

For interior doors such as AKV or BCV, I use a plastic over the door wreath holder to hang our stocking or wreath.

At AKV, concierge and other guests, actually put goodies in our stocking!

Hmm, very interesting idea! I may have to "borrow" it for my December trip.

We decorate for Halloween and use a metal over the door hanger for the front door. The metal works great. We had a plastic one which was too thick for the door to close so used it inside.

We have a metal door at home and use the metal over the door hangers when we decorate the house - never really thought about decorating doors at WDW...I've seen plenty of windows covered with stick-on images - but not doors.

I have heard this too but thought if I kept it simple, with just a wreath, they may not mind. I'll give it a try. I could always move the wreath to the inside of the villa if they want me to take it down. I sure hope not, 'cause it's cute--my son and I have been working on it.

just had decor on our door at okw, i always use electrical tape on the inside of door to hang decor on the outside to keep it pretty. peels right off.
