I contacted a volunteer organization and they contacted me directly via e-mail with the detail for our roadsite litter collection project. When I asked them about getting my e-mail from HandsOn Network to proceed with the registration process, they seemed confused. Are there organizations out there that aren't following up on their end? It's been a while, and no e-mail from HandsOn Network? I don't want to mess up this process.

I think the process might be a little confusing. We signed up and completed a volunteer assignment. We received a follow-up email from Hands On, but haven't heard from the actual organization. I'm hoping they forward info to Hands On and we will then get direction on how to print the voucher. Does anyone know how long this process usually takes?

We got several e-mails from hands-on reminding us of our assignment (as well as from the org), each e-mail said "don't forget to register" each time, so it was very difficult NOT to know what to do.

The only e-mail I received was after the date I put in for completion. It was from HON thanking me for volunteering and saying that the organization I volunteered for should let me know when they verified my work and Disney would e-mail me when it was time to print my voucher. So far neither has done so even though I did the work ahead of time and verified that it was received by the organization two weeks ago.

This is the same thing that happened to us.

My aunt spoke with the woman in charge of the volunteer end of the work she did. She made several blankets for project Linus. (one was required but she made quite a few out of things she already had). The woman said she received the blankets but could not move forward until the "Date of service that was registered" So the blankets were delivered a few weeks early but the voucher can't be issued until the volunteer date.

Also at the bottom of the page where you fill out you date of service is a button to click to verify service date. I had signed up for my project but didn't click that button so my registration didn't go through even though I had receive e-mails from both the volunteer group and Hands on Network. I hope I have since managed to straighten that out!

Good luck to everyone!

I didn't get anything to take me to a page to fill out a date of service at all.

Go back to the GAD website (disneyparks.disney ....etc) search for the one you volunteered for. Click on show details, then just below the "Express Interest" button you will see this "Note: If you have already gotten a response and confirmed a date and time for this opportunity, click here to complete the sign-up process."
You need to click on the "click here" hyperlink then it will take you to the page where you can enter the details. Hope that helps!

:cheer2: Thanks so much - that was EXACTLY what I needed. I now have an account with HandsOn Network.

You're welcome!
It took me few days to figure that out. I've been waiting and waiting and no email or anything came. So I decided I would sign up again, that's when I noticed the note at the bottom.

Does anyone know once you fill in that portion, if you have to change the dates or assignment is that ok? Also, I was going to sign up my family and my brother with us. Is it ok that he doesn't live at our address?

The instructions say you can only register those in your household. I didn't realize this and I signed up my parents and my brother along with my family. The contact at the place I volunteered told me I had to re-register them separately.
