To DISCON this year?

I am I had such a good time last year that I am making the trip from the UK just for it, even though I was only at WDW in August

Well, I couldn't miss the biggest DIS meet ever, could I? Hehehe. (Ok, so it helps that I love the Christmas decorations and atmosphere at the parks, the food, the resorts, well, just about everything really...) Anyone else going? Anyone even know what I'm talking about?

There might not be many people who know about DISCON (or know what it is) if they don't hang out on the Community Board. I know about DISCON simply because I learned what it was last year because I was on the CB more.(been planning trip this year)

It may be that many people (like I did at first) think this is a "convention" for moderators, sponsors, etc....not for everyone. And too, I haven't seen it talked about, until recently, on the "planning type" boards. I'm just thinking if people don't spend a lot of time on the "nonplanning" boards, they might not know what it is. Just a thought.

I think if new people knew more about it, even when they aren't planning their trip specifically FOR DISCON, if they were going to be there during that time anyway, they'd like to participate and meet other DISers.


We're doing the Halloween thing this year, but if there's a DISCON III, I might go and see Christmas decorations too!

Good point! Ok, I think I will go off and get some DISCON info and post it as this is an event for everyone and was a lot of fun last year - I'll be back...

This is an awesome place, and DIS Con is an awesome event. I can not describe in words how truely awesome it was last year. How it felt like we all knew eachother. I would not miss it for the world.

Now for this event to happen, we have to get enough people registered. The official events are great for getting us all toether, to meet and become closer.

Guys, if you are on the fence about being official or not...DO it!!! You will not be sorry!! It is a wonderful time and the memories you will have will last a lifetime!!! Without YOU it will not happen and everyone counts !!!!!

Recently announced is a 'Weekend Only' package, for those who cannot be there for the beginning of the event. It does however still include the Illuminations Dessert Party, which after doing last year, for me, is the highlight of the event!

As Glo and everyone have said this event is open to ALL. The full event attendees get a great rate at the Swan/Dolphin too!

If you can come at least for the weekend do! The Illuminations Desert party last year was magical!

If you get the urge for a gourmet experience and don't want to go it alone don't hesitate to call me! I am always up for it!

I'm there from the afternoon of the 2nd until the afternoon of the 12th. We could do a Siskel and Ebert type review when we got back!
