Okay, this is going to sound like a really stupid question, but...I'm trying to get away with not carrying any type of bag to WDW parks this summer. I can figure out what to do with everything but my Canon Powershot. From what I understand...even if I have a camera bag, small enough to wear on my belt, I will still have to go through the bag check. So....any ideas as to how to carry the camera around other than around my wrist?? That just doesn't seem to be the best idea I've ever had.
Do they make any kind of camera lanyards? I asked at a photo store but the clerk looked at me like I had three heads!!!

You didn't post exactly which model, but considering the only Powershoot cameras that I see are P&S cameras, Several companies make neck straps, I have one for my Olympus, it is a metal neck strap, comfortable to wear (but I prefer the wrist strap generally, the only time I use the neck strap is when I am in the pool, as since it is metal it works better, plus frees up my hands to swim with...oh, yes it's a waterproof digital camera, I get a lot of funny looks when swiming or taking it on the raft rides and such, I was at Sea World and had the camera out and everyone kept telling me to put it away or it was going to get wet...LOL)

Have to say that the lines to check the bags move quickly. If you are bringing your camera, you will need extra memory cards, batteries, a ziplock bag for water rides, etc. It might be impossible to go w/o some kind of bag.

If the camera and bag are small enough, could the bag go in your pocket and then you hold the camera while you go through security? They have not gone as far as making us empty our pockets... yet.

Take a look at this site. OP/Tech makes the neopream traps and have some for the PNS cameras.

Bingo!! Yep, that will most certainly do the trick.
And yes, it is a point and shoot. As far as batteries go, I always start with fresh ones, and my extra memory card will fit in my lanyard card carrier pouch. I will have plastic baggie that goes in my pocket..just in case I do a water ride, but that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks a lot you guys, I knew you would have the answers.
