Handmade Is the New Black

YaY! The holidays are almost here and that means shopping is on the rise!!! How many of you are giving handmade goodies as gifts this year?

We've already started decorating our own wrapping paper (the kids painted, colored and put stickers on a big roll of brown paper).

I have made a lot of my gifts and also purchased handmade goods from craftshows and online handmade markets. So as to support other artists.

The kids are also making popsicle stick frames and we will glue paper inside and those will be the gift tags this year!

I have no idea what we are doing but it isn't a whole lot of shopping. I think I am mostly going to make mini albums, saw a cute idea made from ID badges! And other little things like that. Not sure what the kids are going to do, maybe some crafts from Oriental Trading that I have left over.

My friend just reopened her sewing room after a remodel so I might enlist her to make me some rice bags for family and friends.

Last year I made felted clogs for everyone in the family. One person has outgrown hers so I'll need to make another pair. I did make mini albums for DD school; teacher, paras, speech therapist, etc, Other than that, I am not making gifts. I will be making gift tags however.

Each of my kids are getting an ABC album thanks to the girls on the board.. they knew mommy worked on pages but they think Buffy has them (LOL; thanks for the cover Buffy)...
Mom is getting a rolodex from the 4X4 swap
DD is getting a 4x4 rolodex too.
MIL & SMIL are getting a set of binder clips w/ photos of the family
Mom & Sis are getting binder clips too (DSis to match her wedding colors)
Bus driver is getting a cute little school bus plaque DS8 found @ the covered bridge festival
Teacher gifts binder clips w/ a card
