Handicap parking versus Prime parking, which is better?

This November will be our first visit to UO since acquiring a handicap sticker for our car. I remember the parking garages there as gargantuan and we were thinking of paying for prime parking this visit. With our handicap sticker, will we need to pay for prime? Does anyone know which would be better? Handicap or Prime?

No need to pay for prime. If you have a HC sticker/accommodation, suggest to use it. naturally, arriving early will provide you with the best selection of those parking spaces.

Enjoy your trip

I used the handicap spaces in 2019 when I took my brother. They are very close and convenient.

Parking has never been my issue.
I hate getting a temporary wheelchair to use untill I get to the gate because city walk and the moving walkways are a crazy long walk

they are! Wonder if Valet is better? I use the stairs at valet but there must be an elevator. Much shorter to get in and much easier security.

We may be headed there for a day after Thanksgiving. Are there wheelchairs to get you from the garage to the gate? I remember it being a long walk and we'd be traveling with someone who has mobility issues.

We just returned from Universal and the question of handicap or prime was settled. Handicap (if you have the tags) is first followed by prime followed by all others. Handicap and Prime are both located on level 3 which is where the hub and security are located. I clocked the distance and from our car in the first row of handicap and 5 cars from the beginning of the row to the turnstiles at IofA is half a mile precisely. The hub has stroller and wheelchair rentals. Didn’t notice if they have any courtesy wheelchairs.

Definitely handicap is closest, and then the prime rows start right after the handicap section. We saw wheelchairs on the sidewalk area near the handicap parking area, but someone else in your part may have to search or walk to the hub to rent one and bring it back. The one time we used a wheelchair sitting in the parking area was in the evening when we were going to citywalk, so not sure if it's just an "after hours" thing or if they also have some at park open. We would recommend bringing your own wheelchair if you can - if you need it to walk from the garage to the gates, you're going to need it to walk around the parks, and it's easier to just have it with you than try to find one at the parking garage and then try to switch to a rental at the gate. If you don't have one, you can usually get a fairly inexpensive collapsible one at drug stores. Or there are companies that will rent wheelchairs and/or scooters (if you have a scooter, at most rides you will have to transfer to a park-provided wheelchair out front and someone from your party has to push you through the line. wheelchairs were available for that at every ride when we needed it)
