My daughter has autism and some other medical issues so we have decided to rent her a wheelchair from an offsite company so we can have it all the time not just inside the park. I just read that you cannot take the wheelchair on the tram from the parking lot to the park(which makes sence) but we donot have a handicap parking pass since we really don't need it on a daily basis at home. We are usually at the parks early and mostly get parking spots within walking distance but MK is kind of far to walk without the tram. Do I have any other options so I can park in handicap parking? Anyone have any expience with this??

even with a handicapped pass you have a long walk at MK to get to ferry or monorail plus it is a slightly uphill walk. at MK handicapped is not much better as far as walking, just that the parking gives you more room to move wheelchair or ECV

as you pay for parking, tell the CM that you have a wheelchair but no disabled permit. They will direct you to a close-in lot-usually the same one with disabled spaces (disabled usually marked in blue). Do NOT park in a disabled space, you may be ticketed, but you can park in other, appropriately marked spaces in the lot.

Happy travels

If you can fold the wheelchair and lift it onto the tram, you can bring a wheelchair onto the parking lot tram with you.
You can also walk, if you are close enough. Just watch out for traffic.

Your other option if driving is what SteveMouse described. As long as you don't park in a spot with a handicapped sign, or wheelchair symbol or blue paint lines, you will be OK. Look for WHITE paint

I told the CMs who were directing the cars to park that I had a scooter in the back of the SUV, and they directed me to the front. We were furthest away at HS, but were still only 5 rows back so DD didn't have to walk too far. At AK we were literally 1 row back from the blue spaces. We only ever went to MK by resort bus or popped over from GF or Contemp on the monorail after a meal for a few hours. But we stayed on site and had free parking, and when I parked at the other resorts I specifically asked for permission to leave the car there so we could pop over to MK for a few hours after dinner.
