I have read i several threads that Handicap passengers board frist.

Does this mean that those who are booked into Handicap rooms with medical concerns are the first to board or do all those booked into handicap rooms board first?

My mother is handicapped and it is not an obivous condition. But we are always seated first on airplanes and such.

How do they distingish those who are to board first? Mom had a very hard time with the standing in line thing.

Typically it is those in wheelchairs who board first, but if your mother is disabled and needs to board early just tell them at check-in at the port and they will advise you on where to go.

Enjoy your cruise! :)

That's a very interesting question and I hope someone on this board will answer! I've noticed them letting those in wheelchairs (and those accompanying them) or using a cane board first, but oddly I never thought about the "disabled" who are not obviously so. I guess I'd better start thinking about it, because on an upcoming cruise I am taking my 80 year old mother. Although she can walk without assistance, she has some minor medical problems and does NOT do well standing in line for lengthy periods or getting pushed by anxious people behind her (which can happen). It sure would help if we could pre-board.
