Did I read somewhere that you get free valet at your resort if you have a handicapped tag? This time we will be driving and it is the first time my mom will have a handicap hang tag. We have paid for valet in the past but wondering if that is the case now. Thanks.

If you are staying or visiting at one of the Disney owned and operted resorts they will not charge you for valet parking if you have a handicap plate or hang tag.

However, please note that the valets are tip positions; they don't get paid based on the number of cars they park. Normally I will tip either $1.00 or $2.00 both on dropping off the car and on picking it up. (If the weather is cool and it's not raining the tip will be less than if it is hot and/or raining.) This is if I do not need assistance with my ECV (such as going in for a meal only).

When I want assistance with the ECV, if they remove it from the trunk and assemble it for me, or disassemble it and put it in the trunk I will then tip $5.00 (again both on arrival and departure). However, if I want assistance with the ECV and the valet does not assist, not only will there be no tip but I will then have a discussion with a manager.

Thanks for the info. Of course it goes without saying that valet is a tipped position. I usually tip $3 each way so I am a very good tipper. I was also hoping to pay more and have them help me load it into the car. I will be on my own getting it out at the park but one way is better then nothing!
