I'm not a DVC member - yet! But, we may rent points for our Jan. stay.

2 questions about BCV?

1. Are there 1st floor Studio Rooms? If there are, how do you access them? My parents will be in the Studio and my Dad will have an ECV. It's so much easier when we don't need to worry about elevators. Just wondering if he would need to do elevators with one of these rooms.

2. Do you need to go through BC to get to EPCOT or is there a path from BCV? I'm really hoping there's a path of some sort.

Thanks for your help!!!

yes there are first floor studios -

there is path - outside of BC to Epcot - so no you don'thave to go in the BC - but I like air-conditioning.....:o

I recently stayed at the BCV and the only 1st. floor studio that was avaiable was a handicapped accessible one (#128). This studio overlooked the quiet pool and was close to the front lobby. It was a very nice room, the only real difference between it and a regular room was a roll in shower with a shower curtain. There is a path outside the main BCV entrance to Epcot. If you go left from the front door and take your first left it puts you right on it. The path meanders a bit but takes you around the Beach Club rooms to the main walkway to Epcot.
Hope you enjoy your stay.

I was dissapointed that the BCV pool didn't have 0 entry to make it easier for those with mobility limitations.

Doesn't the pool have steps and railing for transfer from a chair? I thought I remember seeing those at BCV pool. There aren't too many zero entry pools at WDW.
