I read a post where someone briefly mentioned these. Remy is always complaining in the winter about cold hands and toes and I thought these sounded promising, but the poster didn't say anything other than, "thanks for the tips about the hand and toe warmers." I figured it would be faster to ask ya'll rather than search through tons of posts. What are they exactly and how do they work? Where do you buy them?

TIA

They have them here at walmart in the hunting section

We use them Skiing- they are "air activated" Once you open the package they warm up. They are disposable. I think they have charcoal in them??? Something like that.

They are usually sold 2 to a pack, in a "air tight" package. Let me know if you cant find them I'll pick some up and send them to you, they're very cheap- like 2 bucks for a pack

they have hand and boot one- the boot ones are bigger. I put them in my ski boots when I'm in the lodge eating, then take them out when I go back on the slopes. My hand warmers stay in my gloves while I'm skiing.

My kids think they are the neatest thing, and I think they enjoy skiing more because thats the only time they get to play with the "magic heaters"

Brandy beat me to it - I buy my gang hand/toe warmers at WalMart in the sporting goods section.

We use them for skiing and sledding but I wouldn't recommend them for everyday use due to the chemicals and cost. Try and use a glove liner and a mitten with the warmer outside the liner. We try and avoid the warmer touching bare skin.

When using the foot warmers use over the sock and we find them comfortable and warm on top of the toes.

My dd's figure skate so I often put one hand warmer in a pocket to warm my hands with.

For every day use my dd's prefer mittens rather than gloves although my just turned 10yo is struggling with fashion over warmth. I have to try and find her some "cool" mittens LOL.

Its cold here in MA today I may be sure we are fully stocked up!

Sporting Goods stores sell them. We ski a lot, and I
don't go out without my hand warmers. I've never used
the toe warmers though. My ski boots are warm. It's funny
because I always wear socks to bed
:)

Thanks guys!! I will definately be looking for these in town. I think these will be great for sledding and for Remy when she wants to play outside. She is usually in and out to warm up before going back out to play so maybe these will help.

I just purchased some Saturday at Walmart after reading about them here. We are headed to WDW in December and I'm throwing some into my suitcase for the hands/feet. They were $1.97/4 hand warmers and $1.97/2 toe warmers.
