Last time we were at the park (end of April) the corn dog cart and DLR and the Corn Dog Castle at CA were both closed. We were able to get our corn dogs at the farmers market thank goodness. We're going again next week and wondered if we can still find them at the farmers market? They're not on their online menu. Is the corn dog castle reopened? I've heard the lines for the cart are a nightmare. Where would be the best place?

There are three places right now you can find the same corn dog goodness. The cart, stage door cafe, and at the hot dog place over in hollywood pictures backlot.

Where is the corn dog cart? We're going for our first trip in 25 years (boy do I feel old - I was 8 the last time we went!) and I don't want to miss the corn dog at Disneyland!

"The" corndog cart is at the end of Main Street on the right, in front of Plaza Inn. There are other places to find corndogs throughout the parks, but I always go to the cart :)

Yummy corn dogs! Somehow the one from the cart always tastes better. I can't wait to get one in a couple of weeks:laughing:

Do any of these locations have the spicy corn dogs? They use to have them only in DCA at Cor Dog Castle(I'm not sure that is the right name, but over by Burger Invasion)

No fancy dogs. Just regular. No cheese dogs, either, last time I looked.

Thanks! I'll put the Plaza Inn on our touring plan and note that we're actually heading to the cart (the touringplans website doesn't have the corn dog cart).

the hand dipped corn dogs are now moved to award weiners in hollywood backlot at DCA...

the red corn dog cart is near the photo pass pick up place on main st at DL.

corn dog castle is not open, it will not be open, they have took it down.. that whole area is being re-designed for a 1930's victorian boardwalk feel

I am so missing those corn dogs. They are so yummy.::yes:: I wish WDW had the hand-dipped ones. They don't taste good like DLR.

Please be aware that these have not been hand dipped for about 6 months now and have also been made about 20% smaller and the recipe for their batter has been changed.

Yeah it's part of this whole let's make our food healthier move. I am not quite sure how you make corn dogs healthier.

Oh no! If I wanted a 'healthier' pre-made hot dog, I'd buy them at my grocery store (or even Weinerschnitzel). I LOVE those ones that you can only get at theme parks or the fair - they're such a treat!

Maybe they are not hand dipped at all locations, but when I was there in November, I got one at the Red Cart and watched them hand dip them. I love corn dogs, but could only eat about half. It was the greasiest thing I have ever had. (and i do love greasy food). It was still yummy, just super rich.

Darn! They changed the recipe for the corn dogs?? They were so gooood! Why would Disney mess with such perfection!?!

while I can't speak for how the corn dogs were before... (I actually had one for the first time last week, after hearing all the rave reviews here), the one I had was FAB!

We bought three to split (three kids and two adults) and got apples instead of chips, to make it healthy :lmao: We got ours from the Red Cart between the photo pass pick-up shop and the Plaza Inn. If I remember correctly they were $5.99.

They were DIVINE. Totally hand dipped. The dog itself was a high quality wiener, definitely not a Farmer John or Oscar Meyer dog. At them at one of the outdoor tables at the Plaza Inn and washed them down with large glasses of ice water from the Plaza Inn (FREE).

HTH

Just FYI, you can get the dog without chips or apples for less money. And the AP discount applies at the cart.

I thought they changed. lol To me they were still good. The size was good, now I can eat the whole thing, where before I had left overs and felt bad if I tossed it. I know they made them smaller to cut cost and I understand. I never look for value in Disney food. Its always over priced for what you get. Well there are a few places at the hotel where you get good value in food.

jtown, I didn't know you could opt out of the chips or apples and get a cheaper price. Thanks for posting. :santa:
